The Kraken
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d34/realistromeo/kraken2.jpg

These are creatures of ledgend, masters in their element they have no equal in the water. These beasts are incredibly smart and are often underestimated in battle, their body is almost all muscle and therefore are capable of doing immense damage to anything it decides to touch. They are a little slow and cumbersome on land but they still are a force to deal with.

Once an enemy decides to take on a kraken, make sure you have an escape route, for fear you may fall in to the entangling grasp of the kraken!

KRAKEN STATS
HP:65
POWER: 24 (blockable)
ARMOR: 0%
BLOCKING:0%
MOVEMENT:2
RANGE:2 (LOS)
RECOVERY:2

UNIT COST : 1

They are large creatures, rivaling the tyrants in body mass, but they are slow....they can be effectivly dealt with by scouts from a distance, but one must not become overconfident... it could be over in a SLAP!

Once again this unit has my favorite BIND* ability, so when a unit attacks the kraken (KNIGHT,ASSASSIN,BR, any mele unit that directly attacks the kraken within its 2 (los) range.

*bind* it is the ability to tangle up an attacking opponents weapon after he hits you, it lasts only the turn after the hit, basicaly your opponent hits you (now it is binded) the opponent cannot block, or move

It counts as one unit and is a real defensive force in a turtle, hide it behind some knights, or use it in this combo to deter a nasty mudd quake.

Use a Kraken, a DT and a LW to deter any Mudd Golem infiltrations!
No one would sacrifice a muddy infiltration when those 3 are around!
your mudd will die....especialy if your enemy wants to break stone....

This unit does not step aside for freindly units to pass
And it counts as 1 unit.
And takes up one tile on the board.

Wow this sounds like a really good and cool unit I'd like to see this as a piece

You should state what your "bind" ability actually does, since that is the only unique thing I see about this unit so far.

I think the 24 damage should be unblockable because that would put too much luck into the strategy of using it, and I can it being torn apart from afar quite easily without any blocking or armor.

It seems to be similar to a Dragon Tyrant in terms of base stats. What does the Bind effect do?

Bind Ability
When an opponent sucsessfuly attacks the Kraken, the Kraken will wrap them up with one of it's tentacles, the unit wrapped will not be able to block, or move for 1 turn. So the kraken itself will be able to attack the unit or allow another unit to hit the enemy unit. This creates headaches for attacking knights, since they rely heavily on blocking for survival!

The kraken can put up a fierce fight for a knight 1 on 1

3 knight hits kill kraken 22/22/22=66
3 kraken hits kills knights 18/18/18= 54

With the krakens bind ability, it is a formidable foe vs a knight, but will ultimatly meet it's end facing the speed and defense of the human warrior.
The krakens 24 power however comes in handy SLAPPING spellcasters down.

Have you noticed that pyromancers have a slight edge when a scout attacks them? 30 hp - 18 = 12 (opponent heals) their pyro is back at 24.. a knight can't crush it, no mele based unit can 1 hit kill it at this point...only a DT, LW or another DSM or witch can kill it.

This unit serves as a defensive juggernaut, it has a high amount of HP for a single unit, and the Bind special, the 24 power, and the 2 range (los) more than make up for it's shortcomings.

It is a solid unit that makes any opponent think twice before charging headlong into a defensive set!

It provides variation in this respect.
A kraken will SLAP a scout for 22 damage.. now if you have a mudd you could teleport behind the scout and puch him in his noggin for 18 damage.. bye bye scout.

Frontline it could be usefull in slapping a few spellcasters silly, or even infiltrate a turtle by goading the opponent into hitting the kraken so that the opponent will be defensless for a turn and you can get a few free hits in.

It it can also hit on the DIAGONAL so it could hide behind 2 knights and sneak in a slap or 2 without fear of repucussions.

I think it is.... possibly in wisconsin cuz they have a Mt. Olympus theme park.but it is also a mythological creature... and will the kraken take 1 or 2 spaces?

this would prolly take just 1 piece slot. unless you mean tiles on the board.

This is the name of a roller coaster in Florida. I've been on it about 5 times. But a Kraken is a real creature.

I'd be scared if it took more than 1 tile cuz then its bigger then the DT and Dragons are usually big.

and wouldn't that make its attack radius wider thoeoretically?

I personally don't think a unit should take multiple spaces. Make it similar to other beasts in the respect that it only takes one tile, but can not be passed through by friendly units.

ive actually become a fan of ure work bloodreign i do like this unit but i would figure that the kracken would...
1. take up 4 spaces
2. have alot of hp
3. and would only be able to b able to move in water... that gives me an idea for a unit... actually a series of units... mabe a boat and a dam and a water maker and... eh to much screw might as well make a new game if ure gonna have water based units
