This, a Paladin is a highly enhanced Knight. Its weapon is completely stronger and its armor is upgraded in a very, passionate way...
Paladin
HP:30
Power:24 (Blockable)
Armor:26
Blocking:80%, 40% Side
Movement:3
Range:1
Recovery:1
I have decided to analyze his Pro's and Con's:
Pros
-Good Power
-Good Armor
-Good Blocking
Cons
-Low HP
-Small Movement
-1 Range
This would be a pretty good unit to use. Could make a good wall with the better blocking units such as Knight, Assassin, Scout (Quite good front), and then this Paladin. :)
EDIT: 24 Power and 1 Recovery.

It's a down-graded Knight with 4% more armor. That extra armor in no way makes up for the other severly downgraded stats. I'd say underpowered; I thought a Special would come along with it due to the decreased stats..?

I couldn't think what the special could have been. But yes underpowered thats true.

Phoe is right... Wait a second...
Anyway, you shouldn't make a downgrade of a current unit, but rather make an interesting concept/ability to make up for any lost stats.

I didn't exactly "lie" but I did edit it so its power is stronger. Now Phoenix won't complain possibly? Oh and I said its armor is upgraded. Doesn't mean its blocking should be any better. Its Armor is higher because it was upgrade as I said.

But it's not unique or original... It doesn't add any tactical concept to the game without a special skill. Anyone could make a units like this with plain stats.

I would use this unit as is! so what if it has 30 hp......it would be like having 3 3/4 knights on the field.
It could help be an effective wall, plus if it is stoned you need not worry about it! ..........but hey l2oving Elve.. how about this special.......
Paladin goes into a focus like trance,( ZEAL initiated) srry 4 da diablo ripp off (or i could name the special dirka dirka) he lifts his mighty sword of righteousness...or righteous sword. (kinda like the trophy pose) and any (MELE) unit gains +3 power and 10% blocking while in the paladin's 2 square radius...
paladins focus can be broken and the power bonus will stop.

Not too shabby a special. If it's nearing the end of the game and everything it spread out, that actually could be used tactically.
I understand this unit is supposed to act as a Knight on the battlefield, well tactically in some ways. But the low HP level allows for some combos to be used on it, which would prove it obsolete in scrimmages in early game. Such as the famous Mud-Quake + Dragon Tyrant combo. But that also makes it tactical; there's many ways to look about the unit, but the special BR created, or at least some kind of special is needed to balance out it's somewhat downgraded stats, in my opinion at least.

Not every unit needs a special...
only the mud and assassin have one now. i see NO reason why every unit made needs one.

True, but look at the base stats of this one compared to a normal Knight. They are pretty close now, though, after the edit.
