I have played 1450 greys who used it, and still gave me a run for my money. Used properly, any set owns. This is no exception. Still not the best, for it is hands down the most difficult to master. The 1450 grey was killmonky. Now there is a grey in GL with the id fresh7 in Jackass Congress. He is pretty damn decent with that set.

it completely pwns the noob set, the cleric is dead in three moves unless the person isn't as noob as their set and counters it. I have another that requires two witches that gets the cleric in one. so there! =D

I think I'm the only one that noticed that. By the way, it totally owns because of how everyone's strategy changes when they play this set. First off, myself included, they get very reckless. Most don't even check stats when they see the set. They end up doing stupid moves because they think since you have the noob set you are a stupid player. Second, it is very balanced and far back and almost always forces the players who like to sit back and let you come at them, attack the set. This takes away the lightning ward and all the other defensive elements they have somewhat out of the way. When used correctly, like any set, it owns. Remember it is not the set that makes the player, it is the player that makes the set.

I have had the unfortunate experience of being beat by this form "once"
And it too was a high level grey that pwned me.

I took the fight seriously, but fell into the trap of being overconfident and aggressive.

The knights are in the right spots to respond to any threat advanced toward them or their allies.Everything is laid out very well here.

Second, it is very balanced and far back and almost always forces the players who like to sit back and let you come at them, attack the set too true.

I'm doing about as good with the noob set up as I do with my normal set up, stat-wise. My normal set up, I think my highest was like 1280. My account on Army, ISIS, is ranked like 1150-ish I think. Never changed the set up. But I don't use that account much anymore, cause then it sort of looses the "noob" appearence when people check the stats.

Just beat a 1180+ grey with like a 5 chanty set up. Probably would've lost if I used my normal set up, but the noob set up kicked ass. :cool:

Legends is for weak sauce too, now doing it in 30 days on the fps servers. That's a real man's game.

If someone did something like this, it was for themselves, since they can't ever possibly show it to everyone else in proof. You're destroying their accomplishment by setting it as some sort of benchmark for you to randomly toss out (which ironically would be for your own benefit).

10 Clerics isn't logically possible but 10 Chanties may well be doable. I doubt I will ever see it done though.

His stats may be 1749 on Legends, but that doesn't mean he earned them to be that high. Many accounts were given to OmegaShin by well known players to keep them active. Shin gained stats on many of these accounts. There are threads on LF about quliang being a great player, but I don't think he hit 1700 playing with the default set up.

heh, that was late novebmer... now, Isis is like one of my favorite bands. it takes a while till the music clicks, but once it does, :wub::wub::wub:


Anyway, bumped the thread cause I've been using the noob set up over on legends all the time now. adds a bit more of a challenge, cause now greys have gold units (I leave if a gold jumps me, i hate playing golds).

And the noob set's still kickin ass. :cool: And yea, I like to be a dick when I know I'm winning. haha

The Default Setup is actually considerably better against a Furgon then athe Chanty + Two Wards Dropless you usually see.

I topped out about 1200-ish with the noob set up on legends (different account though, i just made pig destroyer yesterday), but it's hard to maintain that. I usually float around 1050-1150.

Default is my setup. No one can use it from now on except killmonky and myself.:bigsmile: Thats because he beat me....we had 1 hour and 30 minute game that came down to knight vs knight. It was a good game. I wish i recorded it... If you have any problems I'll see your ass in court, and you better have a good lawyer. :D

Edit: ive also noticed that when people know that you use a default they will purposely switch to a rush or center setup. So if your known for using a default you have to switch to a normal setup every now and then just to throw people off.
