You are correct, as is Zander. Only an idiot would think the additional of a new unit would cause intermittent outages of the multiple game servers.

The second cause in your own quote is also incorrct, as the wiping process is a matter of 10-30 minutes ma>< per server. (and that is manual deletion of grey accounts as they used to do)
The first option is also unlikely as stated, as actually implementing the new code structure is also only a few minute procedure, as you rework the code offline and simply upload the fi in a matter of minutes.

In reality there are two possible causes of what is happening.

1) They tried to fi>< the grey e><piration bug, which made the servers go unstable. However, for this to be plausible you have to think they uplaoded all the server codes before noticing the first server e><plode.

2) The servers themselves are having trouble, as in the physical machines where they are hosted.

While that may be true, there is also another side of that particular coin.

Thew contract does limit any and all game development to be done by Seed..... I believe Bills could easily, at this time, employ another coder to develope units and other game improvements, and if taken to court easily prove Seed breached the contract first by refusing to continue to not only make additional upgrades to the game, but even do basic maintenance to the game system.

And TAO was not made in his spare time. Seed has made some good money from TAO, and was dedicated to it almost entirely during the initial creation. The time between the creation of the Tactics Core engine and the launch of TAO itself was actually pretty short, and definitely a fulltime duty.

Actually the game WAS originally and fully intended to be entirely made in his spare time. It was only after the Tactics Core demo gained quite an unexpected level of popularity that he began spending a large amount of his time on it. But that didn't (and wasn't intended to) last forever, or even long as it was never his intention to make the game his life for any period of time.

You seem to have misunderstood me to be saying he didn't put much effort into TAO, when I intended to say Seed didn't intend to make TAO any lasting art of his life and was just something he did while he was younger and enjoyed the ride. Actually, there was no planned game before the time of Tactics Core. It was the launch of Tactics Core on Bills flash-game site that brought discussion between him and Bills that launched the creation of the multi-player version. The early discussion there was pretty fun.

The second cause in your own quote is also incorrct, as the wiping process is a matter of 10-30 minutes ma>< per server. (and that is manual deletion of grey accounts as they used to do)
The first option is also unlikely as stated, as actually implementing the new code structure is also only a few minute procedure, as you rework the code offline and simply upload the fi in a matter of minutes.

In reality there are two possible causes of what is happening.

1) They tried to fi>< the grey e><piration bug, which made the servers go unstable. However, for this to be plausible you have to think they uplaoded all the server codes before noticing the first server e><plode.

2) The servers themselves are having trouble, as in the physical machines where they are hosted.

I am quite happy at the fact i have been gone for the past 3-4 years...during this time from what i've heard there have been many problems of management and upkeep and updates etc. I know of one exploit that they have not fixed and i doubt anyone knows of it but me and i dont plan on telling one person. I found it by accident and that is the end of that. That also shows something that they haven't really fixed which if a game was kept up well it more then likely would have been fixed promptly. That's all.

He hasn't dissapeared for Years at a time while I've been around. It's usually his style to come in after around 9-10 months and do the barest minimum of updates. (Like updating the rankings or something)

But yes on the whole he has been somewhat of a failure to dedicate himself to this game.
