Sorry for posting this twice, but didn't want it to get buried in a reply thread.

I have a TAO connection prob and it's definitely not to do with a pop-up blocker or other such software. I don't use any.
TAO worked fine about two months.
Since the last TAO server clean none of the computers (3 win98, 1 XP) on my network have been able to connect to the TAO server (when the pop-up window opens to give the login screen).
i.e. when I click "Play Tactics Arena Online" (link=http://www.tacticsarena.com/play/#), the new browser window opens, in which the Flash login should load and open. Instead, after a waiting period, i get a "Can't connect to server error", and the pop-up window header is "about:blank" (i.e. no content).

Using latest version of Flash player: 7,0,19,0
IE 6 SP1
Netscape 7.1
Mozilla 1.1
Same thing on all browsers and computers
Flushed caches, cookies, cleaned, dusted and polished->No joy

=>Not browser problem, looks like connection problem.
I use a dedicated Linux firewall, with port blocking. Only ports I want to use are enabled. Has TAO changed a connection port during the last upgrade? If so can the port number(s) be posted?
This would seem to be a valid reason for the probs, and might also explain devast8's problem.
Does anyone else have this prob? because it's seriously annoying. Having withdrawal symptoms, and i've gone back to playing Counterstrike again (bad boy, smack smack...)

Some security settings may have been changed we can not however post those changes.

Turn off your firewall and see if that helps... or allow the TAO client IP to by-pass it.

I've got it to work. As stated above, there are no probs with my firewall or security settings.
I tried connecting through a US proxy server, and I can play (although it's slower and more inconvenient).

On further investigation: The problem is that I can't connect to the IP 216.12.202.221 (found that in the javascript)

Reverse look-up says "216.12.202.221 has badly configured reverse DNS"
I'm connecting from Ireland, so it may be that this Everyones Internet ISP is not properly registered with the DNS on this side. Don't know whose problem that is.
Anyway, I won't be upgrading to a Gold Account, because it's a nuisance changing proxy settings every time.
