Afrit- Human/Beast (Havn't decided yet)
Hp: 58
Armor: 0
Power: 26- Living Furnace
Range: 2 (same as beast rider)
Block: 40% Front (20% side)
Movement: Teleport 3 squares
Recovery: 3
Counts as 2 units.
Living Furnace: If the Afrits health drops below 15, it becomes enraged, and its range increases to 4 squares all around.
Appearance: http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Elementals (see Fire Ghost)
Its whole body engulfed in flame, which is the colour of your choice. To attack, two pillars of fire come out of its arms and hit the unit attacked. To block, a barrier-like sphere of fire engulfs the unit, protecting it from harm. To move, the Afrit dissappears, reappearing by on the space you chose, much like the poison wisp.

Slightly overpowered - what you have here is essentially nearly a Dragon Tyrant with 2 less attack and weaker armor, but which takes up only one unit space on the field. People would use this instead of DT (or in addition to) just for the chance to fit an extra one unit on the board.
Keep in mind, with 5 teleport movement and potential 4 attack range, that's 9 spaces of reach. If you can wound this unit yourself, it should be able to jump from behind your own lines to kill just about any wounded enemy unit. Add to that the fact that units can't body-block - you can "stab" like a Beast Rider, something the DT can't do - and you can hit 4 units at once like a Witch. Lots of un-preventable cleric assassinations. Barrier Ward would make this even more deadly.
Good try, but a tad over the top.

Way underpowered. How can this replace a DT? You bring this anywhere near your opponent's base and it's finished.
As for the special it's easy to avoid letting it be activated.

The idea with the special would be to snipe an important unit such as a cleric. Could use a little more blocking as is, I guess... 3 shots = death means it doesn't want to get too close unless sniping something.
It is, however, a high-HP unblockable useful for dealing damage to a frontline. As long as we're not talking a lightning ward. It's considerably less squishy than a DMW. As one unit it's overpowered slightly, as two units... I guess it does look pretty underpowered. Therefore, I'd say that's not the area that needs adjustment. :p

ok, il give it a shot. But that was the whole idea with the sniping. It was low enough health that you will really only have one shot at something. But now that i look over it, it could have a little more health and blocking.
