The stone mage is a mage that has always hated the dragon speaker mage and his kind. They destroyed his lands and burned everything he knew to the ground. Since then he has hidden in caves and practiced the arts of controling the rocks and even becoming like a rock himself (something that not even the dragon speaker can burn). He has has finally mastered the concept of moving mountains and has come to exact his revenge.

attack: 12 unblockable, unreduceable
range: 3 diagonal in 2 directions* explainied in attack pattern
attack pattern:
m=mage
a=attacked

simple and yet complex. dies in 3 shots by just about anything and yet can be healed in one turn. attack is weak but when used effectively can be devastating. anyways i got bored and this came off the top of my head.

Hm... I like the way you justify the low health. You'd really have to be on the ball to keep this unit alive, for it serves a good purpose with its original attack pattern and solid amount of damage. I might bump up the attack power to 12 or 15, though.

I like it, its well balanced out but you guys don't make anything 100% original its always based on a unit already made.

But good work it looks like you put a little thought into it.

That's a pretty cool idea for a unit, I think the power should be raised to 14, (that way it's like a mud quake - scout) so it's actually a lot more usefull. Also it would be able to kill a cleric in 2 turns adding a lot more pressure.

I'm just trying to imagine using this with a stony... 105 armour!

Would that increase the stone mage's hp if you attacked it? Wisp is this units' main weakness.

It's definitely something new...a mage tank. I could see myself using one of these =P The main purpose of this guy is to stone him, then chip away at your opponent's vital units. At least you gave him low power, that will keep him balanced. And Magician, armor can only be raised to 100, where you are completely protected. You can't gain health like that, but if you could...that would make for some interesting strategy...

i will bump power to 12 but thats it. any higher and it is overpowered in my opinion. at least at 12 it can kill a cleric. The stone golem was the problem i faced with my other units that i tried the high armor with. I still dont feel it is a problem if it is a slow mover with low attacking power but it is a good thought to use this stoned. Snowwolf ... this forum has been around for 4+ years... i am pretty sure every idea concept has been tried out. and yes i called it a mage but in reality other than the movement and blocking how is it similar? mages and knights have the same movement, does that make them similar? Lastly, i would like to add that this could never win an endgame unless it had the perfect situation. all units attack straight on or have the ability to. this would have to move every time it wanted to attack and therefor have a huge disadvantage 1 on 1.

If stone golemmed, would it heal when it was attacked?
And imagine this with double stone golems.
Maybe lower armor by 10 and increase hp by 3-7.
I really life this unit dude.
