War! Sign Ups

Allright, here are the rules.

2 Teams, captains are Priest and Skev21.

It will be fought like an old-school war, no limit on the amount of people on each team. Arguing and name calling is encouraged. 18 Kills to be able to challenge a guard, beat both guards too challenge the leader and win. 20 People+Leader are gold on each team. Leader says who gets what accounts(Guards, Grey, or Gold), and is responsible for the team. Leader gets to use a grey account in addition. The Captain is expected to be leader, but they can abdicate if they feel like it, but they lose all decision making power.

Rules of battle are as such:
1) Greys can challenge Golds, but not vice Versa
2) Guards cannot be challenged until 18 kills have been reached.
3) Leader cannot be cahllenged until both Guards have been killed.
4) Once the Leader can be challenged, he must play 1 Game every 2 Days, this includes challenging anyone and having them say "No". (This is to prevent the leader stalling, any attempts by the opposing team will be very harshly punished) If he does not comply, 1 player from his team will randomly be selected and killed.
5) Each Person is allowed to decline 5 Challenges, after that they must play or forfeit. This is a reasonable amount for anyone to be unactive. If you decline a challenge, and someone else challenges you in the next 20 minutes, this does not add to your tally of declined challenges.
6) A challenge is when 2 players from opposite teams are on, and one says, "Lets play" or anything of the sort.
7. Ask questions if you ahve them.

Teams are assinged like this. You say sign up for Skev's Team, Sign up for Priest's Team, or sign up for a random team.

Allright, I've updated the sign ups. We got a fair number of people. Captains can come up with Team Names, start figuring out who tehy might give golds to. Sign ups will probably go another 3-5 days. 30 People on Each team is not a limit, depending on how many people sign up, more gold accounts may be given to each team, and a higher kill total.


Also, thoughts on requiring atleast 3 Grey on Grey kills for each team of the 18 kills necessary?

With more people, number of kills will be needed, along with amount of Golds given to each team. I'm thinking something like:
N=Number of players on the smaller team.

Golds accounts for each team = 2N/3
Wins Needed = 7N/12
Grey Wins needed= N/12

Yes, about 2-3 Days to get organized. You can make a forums is you feel overly productive, or just a discussion thread.

WEll, games are always freestyle, unless both parties want to put additional rules on it. Guards are freestyle also.

In addition, one loss and you are considered killed? or do you play as many as you want? If the above is true i can see many ppl ducking the good players, but if the latter is true i can see many point whores just playing everyone over and over.

Master TAO, AU already posted it on like Page 1 or 2. For every 2 kills, you get 1 TAL point. For killing a Guard you get 1 TAL point. For killing the leader/captain you get 2 TAL points. Why? Its about winning the war, not about TAL points. You should make your guards logicly the 2 best freestylers on the team, with activity also taken into question.

They can challenge, just it would be silly to do if before they are challenged. Guards should be who the leader feels are the best players. Everyone, please be less concerned about the TAL points, and play like you want to win. If I feel that everyone is more concerned about beating lots of people for TAL points than playing good people, I will personally remove TAL status. The object of this tourney is to defeat 18 people on the other team, then Challenge the Guards, then the Leader. Killing more than 18 people is okay, as it is less peopel for the Guards and leaders to beat. Guards are basicly like everyone, accept with added responsibility. There is no reason someone should not want to be a guard, other than activity or self-doubt at abilities reasons.

Anyone can use any setup they want. Greys can challenge golds, but they have to play with Grey units vs. the Gold units. People can turtle, just their opponent only has to turtle if both people agree to it.

For example:
Player A challenges Player B to a Turtle game. Player B Declines. THIS DOES NOT COUNT AS A CHALLENGE. Player B can still decline 5 Challenges. Player B counters with a Freestyle challenge. Player A declines. THIS DOES COUNT AS A CHALLENGE. Player A can only decline 4 more challenges.

Its a freestyle tourney. That means freestyle unless both players agree.

They can challenge, just it would be silly to do if before they are challenged. Guards should be who the leader feels are the best players. Everyone, please be less concerned about the TAL points, and play like you want to win. If I feel that everyone is more concerned about beating lots of people for TAL points than playing good people, I will personally remove TAL status. The object of this tourney is to defeat 18 people on the other team, then Challenge the Guards, then the Leader. Killing more than 18 people is okay, as it is less peopel for the Guards and leaders to beat. Guards are basicly like everyone, accept with added responsibility. There is no reason someone should not want to be a guard, other than activity or self-doubt at abilities reasons.

As for the Guard's in Priest's team, I think those are chosen by Priest rather than the players. Same goes for Skev. In the FIRST POST, you said that the leader picked what style people would be playing. I must assume that the capitano choses who are his/her guards too, right?

AU, if I may say so, I think you should sit this out. Either that or find one last person for Priest's team. The teams should be the same number of people.

Why? Its an extra grey person, which has almost no impact on the results of the war. Since both teams have the same number of golds, total players matter very little. PSST had about a 5 man difference in total player between the largest and smallest teams, and that tourney REQUIRED everyone on the team to be defeated.
