You can recognize an addiction to video games the same way you can recognize any addiction: it interferes with your life in a negative way. Symptoms of gaming addiction could include:
• You play the game for hours on end, and the time you spend playing is increasing
• You think about the game when you're not playing it
• You have missed important meetings/events because you were playing video games
• It's difficult for you to not play video games for a few days
• You try to sneak playing video games
You have tried, unsuccessfully, to stop playing video games in the past
• Your family or friends have asked you to cut back on video games
• Your personal interests have changed because of video games (such as no longer taking your dog for its twice-daily walks so you can play)
• You have lost a personal or professional relationship because of video games

After reading this I decided that I am addicted to Tao. So I'm going to try and take a break for a couple weeks or so. Peace out everyone. Good luck netjak.

the word addicted has such a bad connotation. has this game caused you to harm any relationships you have made? has the game brought any physical or emotional harm to you? if not then what is the problem? Think about someone that is "addicted" to their family or spending time with their children. we call these people good parents, usually. This is a strategy game that causes you to think. while there is no real world application it does keep you mentally sharper than if you say addicted to tv or something of that sort (probably what you will replace your free time with while not playing tao).

has the game brought any physical or emotional harm to you?

Bushido Gaiden disbanded. Brought tears to my eyes. Not really emotional harm as much as an evocation of a show of emotion from me.
