Have you read my guide yet? Make sure that you're saving the movie file, not just the project.

Well, in your video recording application you need to specify that its saves to the desktop or somewhere easily accessible. If you know what it was saved as you could search your computer as well. Also, go to C:>Program Files>then whatever your recording app is and in that folder be it Camstudio or Hypercam or whatever (e.g. C:>Program Files>Camstudio>somewhere here) inside that folder there should be a folder that your movies are being saved in. If not there then probably in you "My Videos" folder C:>Documents and Settings> My Documents>My Videos

Hope that helps

After editing it in WMM(windows movie maker), click on "Save Movie File".

This will not only improve the quality, it will allow the video to be hosted on an... er...video hosting site of your choice (not Vimeo, as Lemon_ pointed out).

After it's done saving, it should play in WMP(windows media player). Save the movie file to the desktop(best choice for easy-access), and then upload it.
