So, at first glance some people are thinking, "What's the use in this unit? It can't block, attack, and has no armor?". Well, I'm going to tell you!
Ever get in a situation where you have your lightning, or barrier ward just a space or two away from where it could do mega damage? Well, as the unit name implies, this is the easy solution. The Ward Carrier walks up to a ward, picks it up and places it on a big burlap sack on his back,, then uses the rest of his movement tiles to walk to a new location and drop it down into position. This can be great means for attacking a turt set because the units are so bunched together, they can easily be taken down. The big risk of this unit is that if it is killed while a ward is being carried and the Carrier is killed, the ward drops on the spot he was killed.
I'm open to any feedback, negative or positive. Tell me what you think.

What happens if it has a ward, and it dies with the ward still in its pack?

Edited it in at the top. Thanks for bringing that up.

How is it overpowered? It can't attack, block, and has no armor. =S

You could carry your LW straight into an enemy set.

Exactly. Therefore, making it a very useful unit. What you have to do is try and kill off the WC before I can do alot of damage.

The fact it can carry a Lw directly into a set makes it overpowered.

The fact it can carry a Lw directly into a set makes it overpowered.
Remember though, the fact that if your opponent is stupid enough to let that happen is another thing.

No, No, No No.
The main point of wards is THEY CANNOT MOVE, you shouldnt change this, also this unit will be able to get wins from games that should be draws, (e.g. chanty and lw and bw vs 2 knight, once one get paralysized you just bring the lw over to attack it, and therefore win.) FAIL

You know aswell as I do that people would.
I actually had an idea similar to this a couple months ago.
Mine was to give the knight a secondary attack that would allow it to pick up a barrier ward.
The sequence would have been you walk up to a barrier ward switch to attack phase, hold down on the knight then 4 attack squares change colour or something then you select the square that the barrier ward is on, your knight puts away his sword and picks up the bw.
While the knight is holding the bw they both have 0 blocking, so if yo uattack from the front the bw takes damage, but if you attack from the back or sides the knight takes damage.
If you knight is frozen it drops the barrier into the space directly adjacent to the direction the knight is facing. (i'm sure problems might arise in that situation so something could be added if there's a unit in front of the knight etc..)
This would be useful for a) moving your own barrierward to a more strategic position, or b) moving your opponents bw to break its focus or get it out of a strategic position.
/hijack thread.

I'd rather have a furgon, and the LW.

I don't really see how the ward could possibly be killed while on the ward carrier's back. I mean as you put it, everything is done all in one turn: you move to the ward, pick it up, and then put it somewhere else all in one move. So it seems it wouldn't actually be possible for your opponent to kill the ward carrier when it's moving a ward... unless your opponent can somehow attack you during your turn and i don't know about it :p
But yeah, we don't need wards to be movable and with the 5 movement you opponent can't really stop you from moving your LW 5 squares closer to their formation.

Well, thanks for all the feedback. Sorry Lex that my idea is similar to the one you had. I didn't know there was a post like this as I only joined the forums not even a month ago. Also, since this unit has low hp and no blocking/armour, it's meant to be taken out towards the beginning of the game before it can do any damage.

I never posted mine, because i figured it was a bad idea, but they were similar so i decided to just put mine here.

Haha well then. Two similar ideas from two different people all in one thread. People really got what they bargained for.
