The High Priest is a being that sees itself as above it's fellow fighters, it is only willing to take marginal assistance from his allies as he beleives that he can take down his foes by himself. The High Priest will move away from his foes in an attempt to cleanse himself of mortal taint. When he attacks streams of holy light destroy his target.
Health - 36
Armor - 8
Block - 50% and 25%
Power - 32 at 4 spaces, 24 at 3, 18 at 2 and 12 at 1
Range - 4 spaces
Attack recovery - 1 turn
Movement - 4 spaces [flies to space with wings that appear during movement phase]
Movement recovery - 3 turns
High Priests cannot be under effect from the Stone Golem, in addition the closer a target is, the less damage it takes from the High Priest.

Shouldn't the attack recovery be greater than the movement recovery? I don't like the idea of beefing up the unit that much even with those restrictions. Is the attack unblockable; even if it isn't, 32 Power is quite ridiculous for a mobil unit and would be taken advantage of easily by many players (coupled with its movement of 4).

This really does just seem like a stronger, meatier LW that can move. I'm taking the fact that you said it attacks with light to assume the attack is unblockable as well?

I have to say I was a bit shocked to see who the creator of this thread was after I saw the stats of this unit..

It seems unusually durable, with 50% blocking, 72 HP, and a bit of armor, it's going to be hard to get rid of. Especially for a mage-type unit, even with reduced healing. I'd like to know whether this attack is blockable, while it seems that it isn't, unblockable damage isn't something that's thrown around so easily. Especially when it's unaffected by LOS, (you didn't specify) this guy is almost guaranteed to kill the opposing cleric. And your recovery time is weird. And only 1 turn wait for attacking? Blasphemy.

Overpowered, it has more attack power than anything else in the game, and more health than anything else, plus with the movement and range, with the small recovery.

I like the idea of increasing power in line with range. I don't like the implantation. The movement penalty is proper but the defense seems too high.

It has 36 health and can't be stoned.
if it moves and attacks it has to wait four turns... you can easily make it worthless by keeping your units close.
Unblockable, LoS applies, movement LoS applies [just to clarify].

so by your healing logic, I guess if I had a unit with 200 HP but it couldn't be healed, it would have 0 HP according to you bama?

I'll drop it to 36 health and give it full healing benefit.
But that isn't following the same logic.
The health and healing are dependent... thus making it situational.

I like it.

Does LOS apply, or is it just like a golem ambusher?

The problem isn't necesarily that the attack is so high from four tiles, but more that its so high from four tiles AND it has a movement were it can always get four tiles away from what attacks it.
I think if you reduced the movement to 2, then it would by far strong enough, but still more balanced. Since it could not get that 32 attack power off of a knight that just attacked it, and your opponents would also need to watch there step more. Plus, you could not use the unit as offensively as you could with four movement, and you still wouldn't need to worry about scouts picking it off as much either, because 2 movement plus four range = 6 potential attack range, or a scouts farthest shot.

Too overpowered - I think if you reduced the movement to 3, got rid of the armour, increased recovery to 2 for attack (and reduced it to 2 for movement), and reduced the HP to about 32 or something, it would be well balanced ... :)
