Best players of all three servers

[Mystic Wanderer]

Exactly one week has past... since I left Great Lake under the name of Mysterious Wanderer. It the time now I end my wandering life.

Maybe one day I shall travel to Armageddon and Baniff again to continue the legend...
Maybe one day I shall expand our clan to all the servers...
Maybe one day I shall play another 10 great games with snarr...
Maybe one day I shall reveal my true identity.
But before that I prefer to remain mysterious! lol

I would rank the servers as follow: Armageddon, Great Lake, Baniff.
I am not saying the best players in Armageddon are better than the ones in Baniff, I mean that it's much easiler to find a good player and play a challenging game in Armageddon .

I believe I have played most of the best players of all three servers now. Here are some I can find. Sorry I can't remember all, and don't feel insulted if u r not in. Please refer me to the ones I haven't played.

You're list is much more accurate than the rankings, though of course heavily weighed towards players with a larger reputation because of the the length of time they've spent on TAO.

You remind me of someone mysterious wanderer...and I'm not sure I remember playing you with that name. You used to post occasionally on these forums under a different name, didn't you? ;)

It is too bad that there is absolutely no way to actually determine the best players. The nature of the game makes tournies really unfeasible. So, those most active get the notoriety.

You have mysteriously wandered to our server a week ago. You mestriously left as well leaving no clue as to who you are. I hope we made your stay a most pleasent one as you were certainly a welcome guest. I've played you I should estimate 10-12 times every time forceing me to evovle change and think, because of your influence I developed 2 new formations and better understood many concepts of tactics, and for this I would likt to thank you.

I know it may not have seen so but I really enjoyed playing you even though I had to refuse so many times, but i put to myself a general rule of not playing serious games after 2am. I hope that "maybe I shall play snarr again 10 more times" will be happening, if not now then at least in the gold server.

Thanx for the hospitility snarr and Out_Cast clan provides me; and thanx to every one who takes the time to play an anonymous wanderer. My List is ordered base on the number of games we played and the quality of the game, but I usually prefer to play someone with better repution and ranking. I think my name isn't very important any more. I will be better remember as the mysterious one:) maybe my name on the gold server will be ****(MW) lol. By the way, how do u guys like the unit I created, namely Mysteriously Wanderer?

I think that's the entire point Presto. The rankings are flawed; lists of respected players is a different method of assessing level of skill.

I have played this guy for the second time. Damnit, I lost again :) Why am I happy, cause I gain more from a loss from this guy than anyone else. I made three major mistakes, and will never make them again. At one point I had big advantage, but made the mistake of not just kamikaziang..

Mysterious wanderer I salute you. It is true that there is always someone out there better than you. And you are that guy. You still owe me another match as.... you..um... damnit you don't owe me anything, however I love playing you, anytime you see me, you get a match. It'd be great to have you as a sparring partner. And no more of this gung in the works, you just got priority in playing. Also, think about pm'ng me who you are, I'd really like to know who the person is that posses the very very rare talent to beat me.

EDIT- also I think I might steal your idea and go wandering through all the servers playing the best. It seems to give one exceptional skills.

I agree with you Snarr. Rank does not equal skill. In some cases rank can be equated to the free time that a person has, or how many times they are willing to cheat with slave accounts. I'm not making any accusations here tho. I know next to nothing about the players of these servers. I'm going to start a grey account here soon tho.

That's what's nice about being in the Elite clan! Not to toot our horn too much or anything, but there is always a great sparring partner online that you can try stuff out with without the bother of killing your rating. Don't like the move you just made? Just re-start the game and try a different move. It's a great technique (I think), but it can make you lazy.

I never played this Mysterious guy, but I am betting it's Azn_Guy since I never see him around anymore, and who would fork over $15 to get three gold accts?

I am assuming that you had the dragon and the cleric? Hmmm, I wonder why you lost... seems VERY even.

QuicksandSlowly just improved my knowledge of the scout in general stradegy. Seem like my visit to legends is very nessessary. I always know my tactics is no where near perfection, now I know how to improve it.

Some question about legends:
When is it started?
So every one there has only one scout?
A lot of gold there don't have stone golem?
I will take a one-week visit there in 2 weeks.
I will be really grateful if u could introduce me to the
best players there and loan me a gold account.

The server is full quite often, but I have no trouble getting in with a grey account even at peak hours. You just need to try it 5-6 times. Usually someone else will log off during that time. As to everyone lacking two Scouts, some do, some don't. I have two, and there are two people that actually have three. The only difference is that now you can only get one max. You used to be able to get two when you upgraded your account for the first time, and that is how I got mine. There was even a Scout drop once on Legends Server. Contrary to what you all may believe, Legends was the first server, and therefor it is the oldest. There are still a great deal of people who have Stone Golems, but they are rarer than single Golds. The account I will supply you with has most of the regular units that double Golds have, and two Mud Golems.

why MUST people keep talking about legends... this is GL, Banf, and Armageddon NOT legends... as said in the OTHER thread: legends is only good for knowing what is coming here... and legends sucks... it may be cheaper to go gold but that server is like... always full... i have a friend thats gold over there n he says we wishes he would have gone gold here...

Simple, legends is a lso a part of the world of TAO. Infact it is the birth place of TAO. It is where all the news comes from, new units, and any changes coming. If your religious why do people keep talking about eden and jeruselum, we're in nirth america, those places don't matter right?

I will see you on the server Wanderer. As to Legends always being full, it never is for Gold accounts. Seed changed it so that Gold accounts get in no matter what, but Greys must wait if the server is full. There are always times when it is less busy too. I love the server. I've been cruising around Banff and Army for a while now tho. Just havin' a few fun games. :)
