If you're asking because you're going to college soon, start building up your tolerance to shitty alcohols, because you won't be able to afford much else, and study your drinking games because they're kind of a big deal.

A college party typically takes place 3 blocks off campus in some house. Sometimes there's a jackass at the door who tries to make you give him 5 dollars for a red cup so you can drink. Avoid this by going in the back door and bringing your own red cup.

Once inside, it'll be loud, crowded, and you won't know 95% of the people there. Nobody is actually dancing, and things generally suck. You think to yourself "wow, I really need to get drunk to enjoy this party"

You go to the keg, which is inevitably coors lights, Beast, Miller light, or Natty. You thank yourself for taking three shots of bacardi before you left, as you know it's impossible to get drunk on this crap.

At this point, you look for a beirut table. There's probably some stupid list on whose next, but everyone's drunk so you disregard it and go next. If not, you go play flip cup. Understand one thing about flip cup: it's not about being on the winning team; it's about being on the team with the most hot girls. If someone leaves your team, be sure to personally ask the hottest girl in proximity to join your team.


About 1 am, the cops might come to bust up the party. If you are underage and they're actually trying to raid the thing, relax. As long as you are faster than 10% of the drunk fat guys, you'll get away.

We have a LOT of pretty girls here and the alcohol is REALLY cheap... but no one is dumb enough to let more than 20 people into his own house. And if it is in a club... that gets repetitive and boring, if you do not plan on drinking it's a waste of time.

The only really good stuff are the parties organised by the school where all the glassess wearing proffesors get drunk and the whole school is there to look at what is left of their vomit on their moustache. That is about 500 hundred people at one place. And that _rocks_. There are famous bands throughout the evening and alcohol and food for free and girls all smart and beautiful. Yeah... can't wait for another one.

Thats odd the last Frat party i went to had Arrogant Bastard tapped on three kegs. Call me crazy but i got pretty drunk off of those kegs and the great thing about it was no ladies are going to drink that stuff so there was plenty. The hoes stray to the vodka :)

After about 4 minutes of walking, a cop car comes right by us, and turns down the street that the party was on. Good timing eh? The cops just broke the party up and sent everyone home though, didn't charge anyone with anything, so it really didn't matter.

I'm a senior, and I've went to those parties in the summertime. Nearly all of my friends have graduated (some are sophomores in college, some freshman) and they get me in those parties. As a matter of fact, one of my friends through a party in July (the first one I've been to) and he got me acquainted with all his friends.

Long story short, only tools conclude that a party cannot be a party if there's a HSer there. That's retarded lol. I see what you mean though; if there was like a bunch of HSers running around the joint it would be kind of odd.

No no no, I did my research...Graduating from that school only takes 15 months (12 months automotive 3 months general studies) and you are certified. Meaning 15 months from my start date i will start making $20+ an hour, and it only goes up from there. I'll be 19 with my own nice pad, car etc. Much better than how my dad lived. So I'll definitely not turn down the offer, but I'm just hoping it isn't as bad social-wise as I think.

I go to a party school and when they have big frat parties it sucks... it takes forever to get to the damn keg and they have maybe two tables set up for games. I would rather go get slammed with my friends somewhere than at a frat party.

Anyways the parties down were I live where getting bad so this is what the police did, they found out about one of the frat parties and when it was gonna go down. Then an hour or two after it started they surrounded the house and pulled two fire trucks up out front and shinned (sp?) their giant lights through the front windows. The cops pulled out tables with all the legal paperwork and breathalysers. The party'rs were forced to form a line and and were given their paper work right there. Next morning paper said around 80 underages where given out. All had to appear before the college board to either get the boot or do community service. I was invited to go to this party but fortunately I declined cause I went to another city for the weekend.

Just remember this -- if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Nobody is going to give you the easy way to make a million dollars or be a success in your life. They may sell you the easy way to make them a millionaire, but never you unless you join the scam/pyramid/scheme. Success takes time, effort, planning, and some luck.

I feel you man. From what I've seen, community college doesn't have the same level of social interaction as regular parties, espicially colleges.

One thing I'd like to suggest though. For a year and half (20 years old to 21) I took a break from college. At first I was bored out of my mind. However, I had two very good friends who went to colleges within 40 minutes who had apartments off campus. I went up there literally every weekend, and actually made quite a few friends who went to these schools and definately went to some pretty awesome parties. At one of my friends places, I even had my own room. So if you have a good friend in the area, it's quite possible to join the social scene there. After all, you might end up transferring there anyway.

But that also depends on what college campus you're on.
I've been to a couple parties here in Tempe a couple months ago (when I actually had time), which is home to Arizona State. The parties down here are really big and there are multiple large parties every weekend and some smaller ones on weekdays, mainly because of the weather (It almost never rains and it never gets cold, if you couldn't already guess).

And yes, you will need to get used to the taste of cheap beer, cheap whiskey, and cheap vodka. Though there is a nifty trick I learned to make cheap vodka taste like Absolut. If you have a Brita water pitcher, run the vodka through it like you normally would do with water, and do it twice. It comes out tasting like Absolut.
