Hard Crash - All apps

I've been having problems with hard, unrecoverable crashes while in the middle of game. This has happened to me on three occasions now.

My game window stops responding (freezes) then my whole system locks up. CTL-ALT_DEL won't even bring up my Task manager and I'm forced to do a hard re-boot.

Are there any know conflicts/bugs that I should be aware of?
Specs:
- Win 2000 Profesional - all critical updates installed
- IE 6.0.2800.1106
- Flash 7
- plenty of RAM

I'm usually ruinnng at least another couple of IE windows, and Lotus Notes while playing.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

stop running notes thats all i can say

The general rule of gaming is to shut down all of your other applications just incase there is a conflict, better safe than sorry. Also you might want to try re-installing your Flash Plug-in.

I would also suggest running viral, adaware and spy-bot software. Better safe then sorry :D Plu smine did that to me once and I pulled a virus out and 2 trojans. Never happened again

Never happened again those programs really do speed your internet a lot... i have deleted over 1000 tracking companies/cookies/unwanted-files off my computer they are called Ad-Aware 6.0 and SpyBot Search and Destroy just go to www.download.com and look them up if you want them

i suggest that you get them...
