MAFIA- a game of deception, trickery, and epicly contrived deaths.

Traditionally the game's players are comprised of civilians, cops, and mafia members. For the purposes of 1337 gamers such as ourselves, we will be revising them as users, mods, and hackers.

The Story: The users in a game of SS Mafia are members of a small online community which is being terrorized by hackers. During the night, the hackers cause chaos on the servers, hijacking a law-abiding user as their victim, and ultimately getting them deleted. During the day, the users gather together, seeking justice, and vote to convict one of their number of secretly being a member of the hackers , and getting them deleted.

The Objective: The mod and users need to figure out who the hackers are and delete them before it's too late. The hackers however need to try their best to avoid capture and deletion, and instead try to delete all the users and mods .

The catch: no one knows the role of any other player.

The order of events and rules:
-Anyone wanting to play must send me a PM
-Once all are gathered, each player will be PMed their role: mod , user , hacker. Each one is very important and entertaining to play. The rules for each will be explained in the PM and here
-I will present a game-opening post, announcing the threat of the incoming hackers . "Night" will fall, and I will ask the hackers to select a user victim via PM. That person is then out of the game. I will then ask the mod character who they would like to know about. The mod will select any player, and be told whether s/he is a hacker or normal user .
-The "Day" will arrive, the deleteduser will be announced, and the remaining alive players all discuss who they think did it. All remaining players will reach a general concensus as to who they want to delete, and upon said deletion, be told whether that player was an innocent user or a 1337 haxx.

This would conclude one round of the game, and it continues back to night, where the hackers strike again, and the mod comes a little closer to figuring out who did it. The mod may reveal him/herself at any time, but no other player has any reason to believe him. Usually if the mod reveals him/herself too soon, the hackers will just kill him off the next night. This is a game of lying and deceit (so some of you will be pretty good at it already) for the hackers, and cunning and perception for the users and mods.

The game ends if the innocents delete all the hackers, or when the hackers kill enough innocent players so that they can no longer be overpowered by them (example: 3 hackers and 3 innocents means the hackers can’t be voted to death as there is no majority on the good side).

NO.

FAIL.

This is uniq's game, I scanned through there and didn't see anything about you running it for her(im) so I assume you are trying to run your own. If so,

NO.

if you wanted to do this, why didn't you just come talk to me? The reason I tend to space these out, it because there's a very high risk of people getting bored with the game if played too often. Participation directly relates to continued interest in the game. Thus, if you wait a while, interest climbs, and everyone plays (which is really fun). If you get antsy, or half-ass it, you find two large problems: 1) few people will play, and 2) anyone who did play anyway, before it was done correctly, will not play the bigger games because they are turned off.

Now, the timing is certainly about right. I was planning on starting this up right after the new years as people have finals and vacation now. However, posting in the newbie board and requiring registration at another forum? Bad move...

They just want some more activity in their new clan forum.

Sia Selvane forums are really slow, and they thought that this would attract a lot of attention.

I'm helping the cause, and joining it. I was invited by IROK himself.

Best of luck SS.

I never said they wasn't fine. it's just for people that want to have some fun and to help out the forums over there. if you have something bad to say, just neg me about it, instead of whining in the thread. if you don't like the idea then just let the thread die out.
