However, when it is in the middle of all the roads.....

Big ice storm just came though here. The police radio is going nuts. They go to respond to an accident, and have to call back in and ask which of the 5 there is the one they are looking for.
Unit 23 just slid into a stop sign. The Chief can't make it up the hill to an accident. Highway Patrol just called in a 15 car accident on the highway.......
Sheriff department tried calling in an officer, turns out his car is one of the accidents here in town......

Seems neither the city or country garages had anybody on standby for deicing duties, so the drivers are just now getting into their trucks.......

Looks like ice from Kentucky/West Virginia up past Columbus Ohio......

Was one of the drivers Mafia?

That's why I live in Southern California. I can deal with earthquakes every 10 years instead of hurricanes or tornados or 1 inch of snow all winter.

Stay safe on the road

No, MaFiA lives in the "hood". I love the snow and all but I HATE driving in it. My car is so shitty in the snow, and I live in northern PA. We have been lucky this year though, not much snow at all, but it has been absurdly cold. With the wind chill yesterday I think it was around zero degrees.

Anyone stupid enough to drive in this weather IS getting what they deserve.

Seriously. Why would you try and drive DOWN an ice covered hill?

It's COVERED IN ICE. Even 4-wheel drive doesn;t well drive on ice. And definitely doesn;t stop when sliding down a hill.

Snow driving is my fav. All you need are good tires and a good amount of comfort driving your car. If you do anything too fast, you're boned. Ice driving like Jeff mentioned is not as fun. Especially when you live in a place full of steep hills and Californian drivers.

Damn that's pretty crazy, and yeah Columbus is straight covered in ice. It's currently sleeting too so it's not exactly smart to go out and drive right now ;)

Where in Ohio do you live again?

Jackson

I have a friend who has an aunt who lives in Pomeroy, we come down to her house and ride her jet skis on the Ohio River, which is why I've been down there.

I had a restaurant in Hamden ,about 20 minutes out of Jackson.... Used to go down therefor the Pig Iron and Apple festival all the time. That and I was brought into to help run the Burger King when they were firing the store manager and bringing in the new one.....
