If you agree on a style to play, you may play it. If not, the default style is Freestyle.
Winners will receive 1 point.
Losers will receive 0 points.
A win by disqualification results in +.5 points.
A loss by disqualification results is -.5 points.
Losing a bench game does not remove you from the tournament; you are still active in your roster. Bench game outcomes can only affect your Bench Score.
Highest Bench score at the end of the tournament wins the 6th Man Award and 4 TAL Points!

Hey, playa. We're matched up to play a turtle game. I live on CST (GMT -6), and here's my schedule for the next 3-4 days.

Friday: I'll be working on odd jobs during the day and I usually go out all night on Friday (Same goes for Saturday). So I don't know when I'll be available, but I'm sure I'll have few hours to play after work and before I go out.

Saturday: I'm free from 12pm to maybe 6pm. I'm not sure when I will go out in the evening, but I should be free all day, though.

Sunday: 1pm to 10pm. Free all day.

Regarding turtles, I have been recently forced to switch to 2nd corner turtles, because of the quantity of people playing 2nd rows hoping for the head start formation advantage. It would not be fair from me to 2nd row if you are intending to use a back row. So I want to know whether you, like me, prefer back row turtles, but was forced to switch to 2nd corner because of others and want to use back rows, or you don't mind me playing a 2nd row because you are playing it yourself.

The best time for me to play would be this weekend, which i only have two time restrictions for. I can't play Saturday night from 6pm to 9 or 10pm EST. It was 7:44 AM for me when you PM'ed me. I'm GMT -8. I can play Monday-Friday from 12:30 PM to 5:50 PM and 10:00PM to 1:00 AM my time. I can't really schedule something for the weekends, I come on randomly. But if you really want to play on the weekend, you can tell me your times that you would be avaiable and I will let you know if I can make them.

And regarding back rows and second rows, I know most people have been using second rows, i've been screwed with set advantage like twice lately in tournaments. Either way, I've been switching back row and second row, back and forth for the same reason that most people is been using them. I don't mind playing second rows with back rows though, in the past tournaments I've used back row against some people knowing they would use a second row but then depending on who I'm playing I've been using second row turts. Regardless, I think it should be a gamble, feel free to use a second row if you want or you can use a back row. I don't mind either set. Thanks for asking though. :)

Well this pretty much sucks, I confirm I lost.

It started out with my corner pyro set against his one ward LW center. I pretty much was doomed to lose right there with my knight and scout positionings. I was forced to play defense and traded some of my mages for his knights. I was able to get him down to scout assassin and chanty against my scout knight and chanty at 28. With his cleric I knew I would probably lose. I got a lucky hit on his scout to get the advantage. However, after a couple of terrible moves and misclicks which I was not allowed to take back my knight died and another misclick ended the game with his 24 assassin and cleric.

It was a GG, I played rather badly, and with the luck I had I probably deserved to lose.
Sorry about that team.

Not really, I learned that from Mag. As the person whom I admire most from TAO, he's the only person I've seen who has allowed a misclick to be taken back and a game to be replayed in GS finals. By doing what he did to me, the only way in which I can show my gratitude towards him is by following that code. I might talk about random cases where I've done stuff, but I think that the people who have actually played me know that I have a tendency to not allow a win where circumstances were against them.

A real misclick, like a move that makes no sense, I might let it take back.

He had a 3 hp scout vs my 28 assassin and cleric. Imo even if I let him have the misclick I would've won so I felt no need to drag the match out more. I felt as though I deserved to win because of his luck.

I have read a guy that said what i think. I woulda let repeat a move only if it was like a senseless move and only if i know the player i am playing, i mean if i know he would not normally do that move. In any case, a missclick can be produced by... being nervous, moving at the end quickly because the time ir running out, cause you realized it was not a good move after doing it, or ( which almost never really happens in a game so important like this ) it was a physical mistake. In all this options the fault has it the one that made the missclick. And the opponent it has the option of letting him move again, which depends totally on his analizis of past options i gave, or not. Both are valid options, and i you feel like a saint, do it. But no1 let to repeat a point in tennis because he missmoved his hand, or in a chess tournament. All the players that uses a computer and have a forum accounts should know how to use its freaking mouse.

As for the misclicks, I seem to be prone to them on my laptop because you can "click" by tapping the pad you move the mouse with. I always found it common courtesy to give misclicks back though; if you are to win, do it with how the game should've progressed, not by taking advantage of an unintentional and quite frankly easy to do mistake.

Now, not to sound biased...

If you ask to redo your mistake, for that is what a miss-click is, and they say "no", then it is perfectly fair. It is up to the individual players to do as they wish.

Personally, I'll let any opponent of mine take back a miss-click (unless it was a better move than anything else, then I'll explain to them why their "miss-click" was better :p), and I'll ask if I can take back my own miss-clicks. Still, if they say "no", there's nothing "unfair" about it. It was an error that the other person exploited, however you may disagree with that exploitation.

Also, your logic is slightly faulty. "If TBK said he had the game handled, why didn't he allow him to take back the misclick? " That would prolong the game further, when he already knew he would win. ;)

I really don't think Nejix is Veil. He didn't act like veil in the PM he sent me. He didn't act like veil in the VM he left me. He didn't act like veil in the game we played. He sure as hell didn't act like veil when he lost (Nejix was a great sport, veil...not so much).



Either way, it doesn't really matter. I beat him. I assume I still receive my 1 TAL point, because I beat him before he was DQed.
