Ok, round 2 has officially started, people qualified in this order.

1) Ragnarth
2) ~SlayeR~
3) Reymo
4) Detonation
5) Pikachu!
6) Lieutenant
7) Greed
8) Stiven

Match-ups are the following:

Ragnarth vs. Stiven
~SlayeR~ vs. Greed
Reymo vs. Lieutenant
Detonation vs. Pikachu!

In all these matches, the 2 players will have to play best of 3. You guys have one week to get the 3 games in. At this point PM's are required as well as to see good advancement of these PM's. Now, here's the gig. Obviously those who passed from 1-4 have an advantage over those who passed from 5-8 because they did a bigger effort to get the points faster (theoretically). So, in the event of a 1-1-1, the person who was better placed in rankings will pass next round. This doesn't only apply to this round, but to the upcoming round. Meaning, if you draw one game and you're #8 (Stiven), you have to at least draw-win the next 2 games or you lose.

This round officially starts on Wednesday February 18 at 5 PM (GMT -5) and ends in exactly one week (Wednesday February 25, 5 PM). At this point I do not think that this will round will take so long since to actually be in this Round you had to actually be very active in last round.

I lost to stiv. I started pretty good, i was 1 unit up for a while, till i misscalculated a position. I thought his scout would have been in my lw range if he wanted to try to kill it with a front shot. It was not in lw range and he took the risk. If my stupid scout had blocked i woulda been 2 units up, but instead of that i got 1 unit down. After than that i had to think a lot for winnig and i was not in the mood since ive been losing all day in poker for stupid rivers, and losing all in with pocket of AA, luck is not with me today. Good game stiv.

Comments, He pressure me too fast, trade his dmw by my 2 wards, my lw just injured his scout and he protect him with his bw, one of his knight had 16, i try kill by the side but he block, he move his scout with 12 hp and i use my scout for a hit front, after i kill his knight with 16 hp. Came down with 2 knights (one with 27 and another with 33) and chanty(17 hp) vs my 3 knits full, i kill his kniths and his chanty cant do much.

Comments: Same sides. I had a setup with only BW. Quite amazingly, his LW was in front of my DMW, but I had first turn. Otherwise game would've started 10-9. I BW'd my witch and he shoved a knight into his area. By doing this, he allowed me to attack him from front (which was very weak). A frontal shot on his scout made him retreat and actually gave me the position I needed to take out his cleric. At this point of the game I pretty much had taken out his 2 knights, cleric and witch for few units, but he actually took out my scout and froze 2 of my knights, making things a lot more complicated. But the fact I had taken out his cleric just too early made it nearly impossible for him to come back because all his units had already dealt with a huge damage. It came down to his 39 knight and LW vs my 8 knight, BW and Cleric. In the end, he rushed in for my cleric, but what really killed me was that when I healed I didn't place the cleric correctly, which allowed him a turn that pretty much would've made me win.

Crap, now I have to win 2 in a row or draw-win. :-/

I think Top 8 is good right now. Obviously, this isn't a grand slam where all the best players are, but I'm sure that in a Grand Slam I think these 8 players would be among the best 16.

Game was going great and it was very fun, but the fact that my witch blocked a 70% frontal and then my knight blocked a killing side really killed any hope he had. I feel I outplayed him at the beginning, but he didn't deserve that type of luck nor to lose that way. I can only say great game Reymo, sorry about the luck. :(

Comments: It started pretty even but then I got a lil bit of advantage when we exchanged witches but I also got a lil bit of better position than him, I got his scout to 18 hp. I rushed in with my 2 knights and I had my scout as a back up, I took his chanty. Then his time ran out when he was gonna hit my cleric and I let him take it back, we exchanged clerics, by that time I had one more attacker and his units had lower hp than mine. He got a couple lucky hits at the end, a knight frontal hit on my scout when it had + blocking and 2 hits in a row on my knight, then a sassy side block. He ended up killing one of my knights and I killed his sassy which made me put my full hp knight in his LW range and getting me down to 27 hp, I got his knight to 16 hp though. So it was his 3 knights and wards, one knight was 16hp, the other 2 knights were 38 and 40 something hp vs my 27 hp knight, full hp knight, full pyro and I had a sassy at 3 hp ready to bomb whenever I wanted. That about sums it up, except his scout wasn't on + blocking...Fact is, I got lucky (it feels good to say that [Lieu knows what I mean]).

Just try to get the game in both of you. The times Gig are sending are pretty much useless for SlayeR, so try working something out that could benefit both of you in an equal way. Get a game done with 19 hours of difference isn't easy, but it can be achieved.

I might give both of you an extension just if you can try to arrange it sometime beyond the deadline being reasonable for both.

I'm giving him a five hour window, which I'd say is pretty generous. I simply cannot play during the afternoons this week. If he wants to get these games done, I think he can afford to get up an hour or two early. For SlayeR and Gig: No more whining. Next one of you to whine is DQ'ed. I am fed up with being a nanny and having to receive complaints from both sides. Also, if you two fail to get your games in by Friday at 11:59 my time, you two are DQ'ed regardless of results.

Ok, get this straight. I am radical in my decisions, if I say deadline is at 5 PM my time, deadline is at 5 PM my time. I can easily understand why you're complaining now, when I see that I'm not being radical enough with you nor with Deto when both of you should be DQ'ed for failing to get the 2-3 games in by the appointed time. As a host I might be too radical with my decisions, but if everyone actually followed the deadlines they put, I'm sure you wouldn't be whining right now.

That is, as I said, ridiculous. We have gamed; he had to leave. I could not make a time that I only said I might be able to make in the first place. We then agreed to a game today; the same thing, we both might be able to make it. So what happens (whenever the host is fair) when a player leaves a best out of three halfway through, and the deadline then passes? Hmmmmm, Lieu? Or are you going to refute this as well?

That is retarded. Its not like I left in a middle of a game. Also, we scheduled matches after I left and he postoned the games twice. I never made myself unavailable after we played one game when our draw game is in my favor. Lieu also gave us 6 hours more. I just finished playing pika. I really don't see why would I be DQ.

Did you see lieu's and gig's matches? none finished all their games in a row. Its really hard to play all 3 games in a row specially since they are grey games and they take a while.

Either way, pika came back an hour later and I asked him for a game, then he said he had to go for another 15 minutes. So I waited for him and he just came back and asked me for a game but I don't have time to play now. I have to go now and I would be back in an hour but he doesn't have time either.

Not not really. I've talked to lieu before about this and I think you don't understand that rule either. A draw pretty much counts as a win, if I'd have won the second game, I would be advancing to the second round already without even playing a third game. Look at lieu vs reymo match, since they drew in the first game, lieu said he was forced to win twice in a row, if he happened to lose one game against reymo then it was over cause the first draw pretty much counted as a win. Lieu told me that if we drew once, you had to beat me twice in a row in order to advance. A draw wouldn't be in your favor.

Comments: He allowed me to test a center against him. My center countered his form, so I offered to switch my LW to the other side [it was an off center]. He agreed, and I switched it [otherwise I zap his LW and fry his cleric]. I then got a bit of luck, and he made a critical mistake that allowed me to kill his Chanty + 2 pyroes.

Comments: He had a pretty good counter where he LWs my scout or sassy first turn and then he hit my cleric in one turn, he BWs it and then his witch is in a position where he can burn my pyro and knight and then BW it again. I covered my cleric pretty good and saved it, I hit his witch and pretty much exchanging it for my witch but then I didn't pay attention and I thought his witch was 14 hp, it was actually 18 hp and I burned her with my pyro thinking it would kill it but that allowed him to burn with his witch again and rethreat. Then his scout blocked twice in a row, there was no point in keep playing. I could have won if I had payed attention when I thought his witch was 18 and not 14, despite the counter but that just sealed it.

It really sucks cause I had known about this rule, I would have tried to win in the second game when we drew cause I had a pretty good chance at winning. Since it didn't matter if I lose or draw, it was better to go for a win.

You said you asked me if you could test a center on me, you never said it was a direct counter against my set. Even if you LW'ed my sassy instead of scout, you had huge advantage.
