Sunday ODT

Well, HatchetKlown decided to be a cool moderator and allow me to run another ODT for those cool lookin' TAL points. If it is anything like the last ODT, I think it will be pretty fun. The ODT will start tonight around 9 p.m. EST. I'm not sure about what kind of ODT yet, so I am open to suggestions. HK says it will be RANDOM UNITS.

Same here ED. I said that in my sign-up post, but I have a lot of school work so I am not sure if I can play. I am studying and writing a paper right at this moment. Even being on forums right now is a bad call.

TAL Points are basically the "currency" of TAO. People win TAL Points by taking apart of tournaments and placing well in them. With enough TAL Points, you can buy special prizes such as special avatars on Rev (Shrub, BW, LW, Trophy, etc.) or extra units on Rev (extra wisp, GA, etc.) There's actually a thread with all the details about TAL Points and explains it better than me there as well.

To clarify, the concept of TAL and TAL Points was my idea back in July of 2006. See my original TAL concept post here:

The original season fell apart, and it was rebuilt into the more modern format. I just used TAL points to determine rankings for prizes, only the top people got prizes. Medals were awarded depending on where you placed in what size tournament, as to reward those that were excellent players and didn't just play in crappy tournies and place top 3.

But, things change, and it's evolved into something I feel is a more sophisticated and rewarding league.

I'm sorry to HatchetKlown, and to the members of this tourney. I ended up getting in a fight with my girlfriend, that held me up at home, so I didn't leave until about 8:10 p.m. It usually takes an hour to get back to school, but there was a horrible snow storm up here and I just made it back now. Again, I'm sorry and good luck to everyone in the tourney.
