Ok, pretty much the same rules as GS1&2 but with a few minor differences. I still advise you to read them all the way through, and keep them fresh in your head.

GS3: Random Units Rules
Double Elimination: This means if you lose 1 game, you're still alive and have a chance at winning the tournament! You will be transfered to the losers brackets where you can fight your way to the top once again! This also means there may be some crucial rematches, so don't be surprised if you have to play the same person twice.

PM's: The best way for me to know your activity is for you to post what you've been doing. Please send arrangement PM's to your opponents and post those PM's in this thread. This will better secure you against disqualification (see below), if the opponent agrees to a time that they do not show up to, or neglects to post anything at all.

Battle Reports: For the benefit of me, for brackets, and for the benefit of the reading of the forum, please report your games as battle reports. It is no longer optional to take a screenshot. One of you two MUST take a screenshot and post it - I highly suggest the winner do such. It is the winner's responsibility to make a battle report unless otherwise specified. Rounds will be varied on time. Winner's bracket will get longer rounds to help give the loser's bracket some decent time to get games in. However we're not going to extend this tournament for months. Below you will find the dates that each round ends. All rounds will end at the date listed at 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4).

Random Unit Assignments:
Cleric is a guranteed unit in any set. All other units were assigned a number 1-18 (18 different units not including Cleric). Using www.random.org as my random number generator, I selected the units at random. Some sets were automatically vetoed due to incompatability, so if you don't like what's shown below, cry about it because it could have been alot worse.

You MUST use all the units below in the correct round, and select any unit of your choosing to fill the empty unit slot.

Regarding Free Unit Choice:
The unit of your choice is allowed to be any unit that would be permitted in a dropless gold game. As such most units are restricted to only having one (1) on the field. However you are permitted to have up to three (3) knights, two (2) scouts, and two (2) pyromancers. If you have any specific questions, please post them or find me privately.

Please Note:

In Random Unit Grand Slam, you are NOT permitted to use any account that another participant of the Grand Slam is using. Random IP histories will be checked, and should any suspicion arise, your current game will be suspended until an investigation is done.

Once the tournament begins (filled out brackets are posted), anyone who shares accounts will be punished accordingly. If you are using an account that someone used prior to GS3, just send me a visitor message giving me a heads up, because it will most likely show up on the IP logs.

Failure to notify me will be no excuse, and will be treated as though a fresh infraction. Automatic DQ from GS3 will take place, and possible further TAL sanctions; including but not limited to temporary TAL ban, deduction of TAL points, or permaban.

Shurt, playing random units is a completely different style than gold or grey. It's adapting to at times, a very shatty set of units and taking advantage of the slightst mistake.

You shouldn't worry about it until you get there. One of the best ways to lose in tournament is not to focus on the task on hand but worry about all the "incredible" competition you'll have to face later.

I didn't enter this tournament to win s][n. I entered this tournament because I have the most fun in random unit matches (some of the units we get make for very interesting games). I don't really mind the players I'm up against because of the fact that I have fun when I play these types of games. I could play all those guys in my path, and win or lose, I'm gonna have a good time.

The better the opponent the more exciting the game. That's the way I see it.

If I somehow win it all, I probably won't gloat (too much :p), but I honestly don't expect to win it all.

I really just want to mop the floor with Sniper and I will be happy with my achievements :p

Try as best as you can. There might be a double DQ between Xiahou and Sun, so one of you could take that spot considering it's just a bad matchup for you guys time wise and you've both tried.

This date will have to stand though seeing as it's the length of a normal round and there's really no reason on why people can't get the game in apart from your circumstance. But pushing it back for you would screw the person waiting for your game, and give him maybe a day or two to get his game in.

As I said try your best, and I'll work with you both.

Info- The beginning was not so good for me since I gave away my knight and wisp for his frost and wisp, and I felt a little over powered however I realized I could still with furgon and frost and decided to take advantage. He made a bad move moving his scout into frost range that I created whole for. From than game was basically over as my furgon kept owning him even though he had 1 more scout left. (Extra Unit) And slowly my witch/ zerker killed his witch , zerker and scout

Ugh, I've been on for the majority of the day today and have been trying to schedule a time. The first time you complained of a headache, the 2nd you had stuff to do, and the 3rd you had to go. I'm in a pickle now because all of these instances were in your "free time" range and when you were on. I'll stay on for a few more hours and I'm hoping you can respond to my pm about playing at 9. The first time was nearly a week ago, and you didn't want to play either. The second time (don't really know when this was, but if it was today, i did/do... I have to clean the entire house) and don't know when the third time was. As I said in the PM, those are the times I am available. Which is why I said to send me a PM with your times, and we could work out when to play. I'm not able to play all the time. That I told you, since I do have things to do. And as for the PM thing, we worked this out in GL. Your PM didn't show the 9 pm part, idk why, PM's sent to me are messed up. Ask Duraza. As for your 9 and 10 at your time suggestions, sorry, but I can't. Right now I have to finish cleaning the house/fixing up the basement, and after that I have to study. Description: He used a center rush, I used a corner turtle. We each used scout as our 10th unit.

I got first turn, which allowed me to blast his witch into oblivion, and he went for my assassin. I brought up my BR and attempted a double side on his BR/scout, but both blocked. I blasted his scout with my witch, he barriered. I attacked his furgon/wisp which also moved my BR out of LW range, and I got his wisp the next turn.

I managed to get his cleric and scout for my witch, and from there it was over. His assassin has 14 HP, the rest full or close enough to it (except for his barrier ward).

Second turn really screwed him over. Good game though.
