Welcome to RGL March, third month under the new system. Almost everything will stay the same as far as rules go, with a few modifications.

NEW Rule Changes
1) Going undefeated in any league will result in a bonus of 2 to your accumulated TAL Points.

2) Completing all your RGL games will now give you bonus points towards your overall RGL score used to determine ranks. Please note these are RGL points, and not TAL points.

--- Completing all your games by the end of the third week of RGL (21 days) will result in a 2 point bonus.
OR
--- Completeing all your games by the end of the month will result in a 1 point bonus.

Please Note: Walkover wins are not considered "completed games", unless it's a blanket walkover win due to severe inactivity by a particular user.


Older Rule Changes
* If you prearrange a time to play your opponent, and miss it, your opponent can claim the win by walkover. This only applies after missing a 2nd match. Also, failure to communicate with your opponent may result to you losing your matchup, as well as being disqualified from the League. Walkover results are scored 3-0 to the person who showed up.

* YOU MUST CLAIM A WIN BY WALKOVER IF YOU WISH IT TO COUNT! (And obviously provide proof)

* Points are NOT awarded to game that haven't been completed, however deliberately dodging your opponent OR by someone withdrawing for a single month will result in a win by walkover.

* My word is final. If there are any complaints, keep them out of this thread by contacting me directly, quoting the posts referenced.

1st: 7 TAL
2nd: 4 TAL
3rd: 2 TAL
4th: 1 TAL

League 2:

1st: 5 TAL
2nd: 3 TAL
3rd: 1 TAL

Leagues 3 and 4:

1st: 4 TAL
2nd: 2 TAL
3rd: 1 TAL

Games must be completed BY March 31st. Any games scheduled on or after that date are acceptable IF setup via Private Message with an attached copy to myself, so I can plan ahead.

Please post battle reports in something resembling the following format:

League x Leage # is important, makes my job a hell of alot easier.

Screenshot: If your opponent does not confirm your victory, you will need to post the screenshot.
Comments: Anything you wish to say about the match

Failure to do so may result in your match not being recorded correctly or on time, and will seriously put a Klown into an angry mood :dry:. Please follow the format. It makes fishing out results alot easier. Seriously, post the League you're in. Please!!! Thanks.

Could you please explain to me how near-dead DSM [two scout shots even with heal] and a knight are an advantage over frost + LW + stone, opposite side? I'm too lazy to replay him at the moment, though, so I'll try to catch him later.

My Dsm is at 24, and Knight is at 34. Your dragon is at 27 and frost is at 30, with a cleric at a 3 turn wait. My dsm will still get one more burn before it dies.

Pika, his dsm will not die before it's wait is over. After you freeze his scout, and he moves his dragon to protect it, the dsm will have one wait. So your scout can only attack it once.

Pika, that's why I said his unit health could be a factor... but his DSM will get atleast one more burn in. If he takes your scout, you're completely screwed.

Priest only needs to kill the knight or frost, he doesnt really need the cleric THAT much if you go for it, the dsm stills having 1 burn either on knight/frost or just the scout if he wants to keep the cleric, Dragon is no match for 2 knights and dragon even if its stoned, so those are all the chances going forward in the game, he has the advantage, it would be fair if you give him the win pika.

I'm not going to give Priest the win there, or ask Pika to conceed. It's an advantage for Priest but Priest did DC, so the game should be reset and played out or just replayed in general. It's only the first day of the month, so it's not as though time is a factor right now.

Comments: Pretty good game, I got first turn meaning i couldnt wisp his central DSM, but I managed to pick off his DT before it got off another burn in exchange for my wisp and my BR. Instead of going for his cleric I quaked his knights, leaving them both at 1-hit for scouts. They both blocked, but gig decided to hack at my scouts instead of heal up so I picked off them with no harm for my scouts (they blocked. :)) Weird luck on both side, but pretty even. Had I hit a knight side at the end I would have won, but he blocked. Gig then could have forced a draw with a knight side shot, but my knight blocked too. I finihsed off his knight with my DT, retreated my knight to save the draw and burned his scout twice to finish it off.

And the luck i got it was a side knight and dsm block when he attacked with his br. Anyway that made him waste just 1 turn and i did not get the chance of using my dsm twice. Also you got a scout front hit on my scout. So it was not really decided by luck. And you could at least once to say GG when you lose maverik. All the times i beat you you just leave and ignores me. Not good, heh.

I just don't want the bottom leagues getting out of proportion to top leagues, otherwise I'll have to adjust their TAL points and that will make bottom leagues as valuable as top leagues. DRAMA...

From now on I'll always be keeping the leagues within +/- 1 of eachother.

You got a DSM SIDE block, which did allow you to get an extra burn off on my dragon, so that luck definitely mattered seeing as you only won by a 16 mud and your DT.

Comments: Eh, he had 2 pyros and a DSM while I had DSM/Pyro. Difference was he had his DSM all the way in the back while I had my units pretty much after 3rd line and I had 1st turn, which would be key for him to burn my units 3 times in a row. Not too much skill needed at the beginning since it was a killfest, but at the end the fact my DT wasn't able to block a single shot cost me since 2 scouts can't do crap against knight, scout and DSM. Either way, I do believe I got the luck back with the scout in the end, but it was already too late for me to win at this point. Gg though.

I raided for years... and although the scenery may change, WoW is much like TAO in the sense that the game gets repetative, and you stay for the community and/or finding new ways to play with what you have.

That destroys the whole premise of the league and should be punishable. I think a deduction from his TAL points or some other punishment should be given out. If Lieu starts this trend that "since im losing, i dont want to play anymore", we're gonna have a big problem on our hands if you let it slide because others will think that they have the right to do that as well.

On a side note, is it just me or is it HUGELY ironic that LIEU is the one that complains about people signing up and then leaving tournaments?

Technically I started this last month with Shinok when he refused to play his games becuase he couldn't place and was more interested in WOW. Though for that I just banned him from RGL.

Default setting is free. If someone doesn't want to play turtle or grey, you have to play free.

You should think you let in someway luck to be a factor. Check what moves you could have done instead letting luck get over you and affects your mood. If you get mad at the second block or hit did not go your way, you will probably lose.

In my experience everygame i lost or won by luck, except maybe a couple of games, they ended that way either because i did not play good and i went for a side hit instead hitting a mud situation the whole game, or the game was so even that it had to be decided that way.

Like in poker we take a big part on how much luck controls our game, you could just check your strategy and think about something else. Or in case you think you have nothing more to learn or you are fine with your way of playing, just get over it, more lucky games will come, but i suggest you to take those games as a challenge. It's pretty cool to beat people when you have awful luck :p.

I'm sorry you've had bad luck; it happens to everyone at one point in time. Take my first two weeks before the PSST-- I had absolutely AWFUL luck (as you saw firsthand :().
