RPG/Shop system for Forums

Bored so I am going to put out a new idea =p

RPG/Shop system would be a fun idea to get the forums active even more and make it more "interesting" What you guys think?

I have done something like it in one of my forums and it didn't look too bad.


By shop system I mean something like:

There is a "Bank" for every members like a User CP. Earn Points $Money for doing something special(There is TAL but still..), certain amount of posts.

Than people can use that money to "buy" maybe a new colors for their username(Colors ranging in money) or even big prizes as "ability to change name once" , even "Sponsor for a month" or small things like "certain amount of rep points" Etc Etc


Would be fun, won't happen =p but what you guys think about it? Seems cool?

Not a bad idea, but the awards would have to be more worthwhile.

The whole system could also increase the spam level seen throughout the forums, even more than you find now.

It's not a "horrible" idea like those above me have expressed they believe it is, but could use a lot of work.

Actually, this is a horrible idea. Other forums have this crap. I suppose you could make your own RPG thread and deal with the in-thread rewards yourself, but there are so many better ways to waste time.

It isn't so much about being nice or not as it has to do with a retarded suggestion that would ruin this forum. More or less...but hey, not to worry, I don't see anything like this ever being implemented here.

There is one reason why I can guarantee it will never happen.

The admins already stated they would not make any mods or additions to the forums beyond stock. Doing so makes it harder to keep up with the latest version.

Nothing in this section ever gets implemented in the actual forum or game itself anyways, so no need to go all QUOTE"retarded" Gypsy
