I've been on and off this game for quite awhile now and I've noticed that there are always new players who have no clue how to play. I suggest a tutorial of sorts that teaches the basics of gameplay to new players. While there are written guides to the game, newcomers aren't going to click around the site searching for them.

Then they'll just have to figure it out eh? They found the Launch game section pretty easy I'm sure they can manage to find the guides if they need them.
Mandatory in-game tutorials would just make old players making new accounts waste a lot of time. The helps there if you're not lazy enough to not bother looking for it. We shouldn't have to spoonfeed it to people.

I guess I should have been a bit more specific. I don't want to see a forced tutorial. I just want one that's optional and any newcomer who decides not to take it would just have to deal with the consequences.

It'd just be optional
Then we're right back where we started, those who choose to learn to play the game learn. Those who choose not to don't. So there's absolutely no change at all. Why bother implementing a new feature that changes nothing?

Because there is a difference between reading written instructions and participating in a step by step tutorial.

There is indeed. One takes much more time.

trueee...but for all of us old people will be jealous of the newbies. we had no tutorial. we had to learn from scrap. and thats what makes us good. and how will the tutorial help? would it go over every scenerio? or even just teaching how to move and such. it still wouldnt help. cause no matter how many tutorials you take its still a mental thing. its a good thought though. i could of used one.id probably still learn from scrap though.

Tactics Core you can still find it on www.mofunzone.com somewhere. It was a Prototype/Concept idea not a Demo though.

They could just simply choose not to be new and start off as seasoned pros. That is what I did.

I think you've confused the word "did" for the word "tried".

Well, the "Game Guide" link has been located at the top of the site for, like, a gazillion years. Perhaps they'd check that out...
And then, there's the several dozen game guides posted on the forums by various players.
And even then, the players could do research themselves by looking at youtube videos, and just figuring it out by themselves.
