Well, folks, the suspense is over! The long-awaited return of the Backyard Unit Draft is here at last! Don't miss your chance to participate in the madness and, hell, even if you don't like the idea, sign up to try to win some TAL points! I mean, that is what keeps Sniper going each day. Without further ado, I give you BUD:
Concept:
- This tournament is basically like drafting a backyard baseball team.
- As some of you may or may not know, there are eighteen (18) playable units available to gold accounts, excluding the cleric and considering the dragon tyrant to be one (1) piece. By eighteen (18), I am not including any repeated units, such as the two (2) automatic pyromancers. The units are as follows:
> One (1) mud golem
> One (1) stone golem
> One (1) frost golem
> One (1) golem ambusher
> One (1) dark magic witch
> One (1) pyromancer (not two (2) and yes, I realize two (2) are originally provided)
> One (1) scout (same goes for the scout as the pyromancer)
> One (1) barrier ward
> One (1) lightning ward
> One (1) poison wisp
> One (1) dragonspeaker mage
> One (1) knight
> One (1) assassin
> One (1) enchantress
> One (1) furgon
> One (1) beast rider
> One (1) dragon tyrant
> One (1) berserker
- These units are the ones available in the draft and remember, there is only one (1) of each.
- Each player will automatically be allowed one (1) cleric for their set.
- Once match-ups are decided, one (1) opponent will randomly be chosen to draft one (1) of their remaining nine (9) units first. This rule applies to every round.
- The player who does not go first, receives two (2) picks in a row after their opponent makes the first choice.
- This process continues until each player has nine (9) units, along with their already supplied cleric. Obviously, one (1) piece will be left over due to the dragon tyrant counting as two (2).
- The dragon tyrant also counts as two (2) picks, so you may have to skip a turn if you decide to choose it, unless you're second turn and use your first two picks in a row on it.
- After the draft is settled, each player must create a set with the units they picked and their cleric. Once both opponents have formed a set with their specified units, they will play and the winner advances to the next round, where this whole shin-dig occurs again.
- Here is an example of a round:
> Game: Greed vs. Realist
> First Turn: Greed
> Greed (#1) picks the scout. The scout is no longer available.
> Realist (#1) picks the frost golem. The frost golem is no longer available.
> Realist (#2) picks the mud golem. The mud golem is no longer available.
> Greed (#2 and #3) picks the dragon tyrant. The dragon tyrant is no longer available and Greed must wait a turn.

- The main idea is to be strategic with your picks and sets.
Rules:
- Players should send and post a quality private message to/for their opponent. The private message must include your time zone, the Revelations account name you'll be playing on, and two (2) available times for the draft and the actual game to be considered quality. A private message is not necessary if you feel you're active enough, but if the game is not played by the end of the week, the opponent without a private message or the weaker information will most likely be disqualified.
- Each round will be one (1) week long. Three (3) of those days are suggested to be devoted to completing the draft and the other four (4) are to get the game done. Doing both at the same time is encouraged.
- Players must also post or private message me the results of their drafts in each round.
- Screenshots are required for wins, unless the loser verifies the outcome.
- Any participant who uses inappropriate language will be disqualified immediately.
- If a player is disconnected, please take a screenshot and then recreate the status of the game, so it can be finished properly, or replay (the player who doesn't disconnect makes this decision).
- If your opponent makes a set with the wrong units, send me a screenshot and I will eliminate them.
- Oh, good luck and have fun too :p!
Prizes:
- The number of TAL points awarded will depend on the number of players who sign-up.
- Sign-ups will be open for two (2) to three (3) weeks or until we get 64.
