Mav's April Freestyle Tourney

Alright, same deal as all the other months. This month is freestyle. 16 is the minimum sign ups and 32 is the max, so lets aim for 32.

To help ensure activity, Mag has given me the power to take away TAL points for blatant d/q's and Mag will be approving every deduction of TAL points so there will be no bias here.

Sign ups close at the end of the month. If we have more than 32 sign ups, there will be a preliminary to bring the playing field down to 32.

The creed and I played yesterday, and the game was pretty close, but he had a slight unit count advantage. Not saying he woulda won, which I had the unit power to win, but it would of been very close.
However he d/ced and we were going to try and play agian today, but I haven't heard from him, so I'm going to give him the win, to be fair since he d/ced and most likely had the game anyways.

It was a great game. It eventually came down to his two knights vs my dragon, scout and mud. My mud was at 10 hp, drag at 27 and scout at 17, while his knights were at 34 and 50. Had he not blocked my muds side hit, the game was over but he did and won.

Slayer wins. He got a somewhat lucky knight block followed by a side hit on my knight which allowed him to bring him the win as opposed to a draw. The sets were also slightly in his favor, but he played well enough to keep his advantage all game. It was fairly well played on both our parts with no real noticeable mistakes.

Comments: Well, it was my opposite side turtle vs. his rush. I took his mud/scout for absolutely nothing, had his dragon pushed back, and was on my way to a flawless. He said "I have to go for school in a few minutes," and from there...I just played like a complete fool. I had the game won, and threw it away. I had a 60% then 34% double shot to draw in the end, but he blocked the 60%. He wins by 2HP knight, 16HP dragon [I had a stone + LW, before he killed the stone] Good game, AFO.

Eh. He didn't mention the fact that he got uber blocking at the beginning. I also had knight pressure after he got those two units which proved to be the difference, so it wasn't "for absolutely nothing". That pressure resulted in a cleric and frost kill. Otherwise that was dead-on. Good game.

I talked to Gallactimus, I offered to play tonight or on the weekend, but he says he is busy. He wanted to play on Monday, but Im completely booked then. Tuesday is the only day we can play so we may need an extention.
