Ach,

I thought about you when i watched into the wild, that movie is right up your alley.

I can't seem to escape that comparison in real life, Butch. My friends love to quote the scene where Alex is working in the Burger King and his manager asks him to stop showing up to work sockless, as it's more or less a 'Mike moment.'

this is a joke, no?

Very original story, incredibly well produced, mind blowingly well done scenery and settings, and brilliantly acted.

So, no.

I was so psyched to see that movie for the concept as well, but the plot outside the clever references to the future was pretty bland yet still hard to follow. A lot of scenes were unnecessary or needed to be clarified.

I just needed to vent cause that movie was so hyped up for me and it really didn't deliver. If you enjoyed it, though, cool.

i know what you mean cuz on some sequels they made the first movie seem even stupider than it was and they try to keep on draging them out. like pokemon for example back in 1996 when them came out ( when i was 5 or 6 depending on the month ) they were ok and now there stupid as hell.

The plot was simple, yes. This is why the movie relied highly on the delivery of the plot, not the actual content. Was the content bad? Not at all, in fact, it was very original. For unknown reason x, humanity collectively loses it's fertility and the first world turns into the third and fourth as the old keep dying and no newborns are created to fill their empty spaces. One woman miraculously becomes pregnant, and she must be smuggled to an isolated research center so they can figure out why she amongst a world of humans unable to procreate has facilitated the development of a child.

Pretty simple. But you just can't beat the delivery. I was blown away by how well they created dystopian England. Specifically the policed state that Clive Owen found himself inside toward the end of the movie. The concept was not the complexity of the story, but rather the extremely realistic and believable delivery of something simple.

Ah well, I loved it.

Along with my favorite movie Fight Club, there is

http://www.geraldpeary.com/reviews/def/donnie-darko.jpg

I haven't watched it in a loooong time. Same with fight club, actually it was on TV last night and I got to watch the last half but still two of my favorite movies.

No more come to mind right now..Except all the stoner classics..All the cheech and chong movies, half baked, how high, pineapple express was an eh movie, not really a favorite first like 30 minutes of it was funny.
Oh, and this movie! (Worthy of a picture.)

I don't think i'll ever really forget that movie. Was really good. I haven't seen a lot of the other classic drug movies..Which reminds me,
