I know pretty much everyone hates me here but I'm going Skiing on Friday(3rd) with my school to austria. I'm looking for some advice from anyone that has been.
Anyone got any advice/tips?
Thanks

I say you find the tallest cliff/mountain there and jump off and commit suicide, and put a note on your body saying April Fools, but put a (Belated) somewhere on there.

3's are easier than 180's
bs 3's are easier than fs 3's
just look over your shoulder after a 3 and maybe you'll pull a 5 or a lucky 7.

Skiing's easy to start, you just have to know what to expect. Start out just making your feet like this: /\
That's the "snowplow" thing. It's just a way to slow down. You can maintain that angle down an entire hill if you want, so that you don't go faster than you're comfortable. It's not really a great way to stop however, unless your going very slow. Stopping just sort of involves you quickly shifting your feet perpendicular to whatever direction your going. Dig in, and lean towards the hill a little. Being able to slow down and stop are probably the most important things for just starting. You need to make sure you're always in complete control. Sure, you may be able to just point your skis downhill and balance till the bottom.. but I've been run into by assholes like that time and time again, simply because they have no control whatsoever.
Other than that, just have fun. I'm sure if you browse youtube, you can find some "instructional" videos explain this better than me.
