Rag's Dynamic Duo Tournament - Sign Ups.

As the name says it, this is a 2 players tag tournament. If you can't find a partner, you can post in this thread you are looking for one and i'll make a list with everyone in that situation. I personally suggest everyone to find one fast, because if at the end of registration time players have not found a partner, i'll randomly make teams with everyone in the list.


Tournament Explanation

- Each Team must choose a common strongest style ( CSS ), which it can be either freestyle, turtle or grey.

- Each player will play 1 game of the CSS of his team's choice and 1 game of the adversary team's CSS. Who plays who in game 1 will be randomly decided, and for consequence game 2 match ups will be alternated in order that every player plays both players of the opposite team.

- This gives a total of 4 games played. If a team goes 3-1 or 4-0 it pass to the next round. If there is a tie, 1 more game needs to be played. Each team will have to choose who is going to play it and the style of the game will be determined this way:

If both teams selected the same style as CSS, the decisive game will be played in that style.
If both teams selected a different style as CSS, the decisive game will be played in the not chosen style.

- In order to add some strategy, each team can change every round its CSS after knowing what team are they facing. This has to be posted by one of the members the same day i post the matchups. If not, i'll consider by default the CSS they have chosen in the momment they sign up.

- Drops are not allowed.


Here's an example of everything before:

Team A = Sniper Master and The Professor?.
Team B = |AFO| and Lemon.

Team A choses Free as CSS.
Team B choses Grey as CSS.

Game 1 : Freestyle Matchups ( Randomly selected )
Sniper Master vs Lemon
The Professor? vs |AFO|

Game 2: Grey Matchups ( For consequence )
Sniper Master vs |AFO|
The Professor? vs Lemon

Let's say Sniper and Prof won their freestyle games and lost their grey ones. In this case 1 more game needs to be played and it has to be Turtle.

Team A says The Professor? is going to play it. Team B says |AFO| is going to play it. The Professor? defeats |AFO|, so Team A pass to the next round.

There you go :). It can be either player A or B. It's Player A & B team's decision.

Hypothetically speaking; If player A wins free and turt. That's because one team did choose turt and another free, so the third game will be grey. Let's say B is better than A in grey. Even if B lost both games, free and turt, A&B will probably choose B for playing the third game.

I agree with cekkino... it seems kinda... unreasonable. You should have to choose your style before knowing who you play, otherwise, you're just playing to their weakness and not your strengths persay...

I doubt most people will dare to change its CSS. But in every sport and strategic game you have to do play your strenghts and opponent weakness. It's not an easy decision, and you have to consider in a 1 vs 1 game his weakness can be your strenghts as well. That's why overall players should have a better shot at winning this.

You don't wanna change your CSS?, dont do it. If some team want to, it's up to them, i don't see how this rule can affect you.

New Registration Time Deadline : April 6th

For individuals, get a partner in this 2 days or you will be randomly assigned as a partner of anyone in the list. Once you know who your partner will be you have 48 hrs for giving me a team name and CSS.
