Tomorrow is pretty much shot for the game because my step-dad is most likely having surgery. I will also not be online much Tuesday or Wednesday (I will be on one of those days but I'm not sure yet). Your draft being the first tbh. You lacked a good amount of power and effective ranged focus breaking for him having the wisp. It would have required an epic game on your part to win, it is possible guide would have needed to make mistakes in addtion to that.

I'm fairly shocked you didn't just ask him for a rematch at the start of the game. I think it is definitely grounds for it if you don't play the match, but since you did I guess that could be debated a bit more. Sounded like an epic game though.

In anycase, I would say Lieu dominated that draft, DFP must've put in a good effort to keep it close, especially one unit down at the start. I mean crap, scout is his only true focus breaker (br and drag are decent I suppose, not having mud or ga hurts though) for DFP and lieu had frost, wisp and furgon. That should be gg from the start.

It took me a few turns to realize I started with nine units instead of ten. I felt I already had a set advantage, and didn't think it was fair to ask to restart after we had invested a few turns into the game.

I figured having a bunch of decent focus breakers would be enough, considering pretty much all my attacking units have either range or are very mobile.

Once again, I'm not asking for a rematch.

Description: Knowing Elven always sets away from the can, I managed to get same sides, and with our draft, it was all I really needed. His only unit with armor was a BR, so even stoned, a mud, witch, and berserker aren't that difficult.

I blocked off my cleric from his GA first turn, and he blasted my scout with his LW. I healed, he attacked my wisp with GA. I attacked his GA with scout and blocked my wisp from his mud.

From here, he continued to attack my scout, but since I had a wisp, pyro, and DSM to break focus (and my DT) I wasn't too concerned. I took his GA for my scout, and he took my knight for his witch, mud, and LW. From here I knew there was no chance I could lose, as he was left with only a berserker and BR as attacking units, and even with a frost, I could have slowly moved forward with my mages and stole the game.

Nice try Elven. My draft just raped yours.

Your lack of range and armored units were what allowed me to take the match. Even if you had gotten opposite sides, with only 5 attackers, most of with easy to kill even stoned, I still likely would have beaten you. DSM + Pyro still hurt stoned units, and with a BW and wisp to defend them, I could've worn you down.

And yes, every match we've played, you've set away from the can. Which played to my advantage nicely.

I got same sides which I was hoping for as I needed to take his cleric quickly. I used my first move to bring my frost up as a threat, and he missed my wisp move on my second turn as he stoned first turn. I was able to wisp his cleric, ga, knight, sassy and furgy. He then moved his knight away in order to defocus next turn, but my dsm walked into that spot blocking off the wisp from defocus and burned his sassy, stone and cleric, giving me the early cleric kill I needed. He surrendered soon after as my wisp made it impossible for him to kill my dsm before I would take his sassy. Kinda wished he had played it out a little longer, but it would have been very difficult for him to pull that back. GG mate.
