Welcome to RGL May, fourth month under the updated system. Almost everything will stay the same as far as rules go, with a few modifications.

NEW Rule Changes
1) Playing less than 50% of your games will result in a TAL penalty and 1 month suspension of RGL priveledges. There are some exceptions to this rule such as acts of nature that prevent you from playing, etc. If you don't like my ruling here, you can appeal to the greens as a whole and we can discuss it.

2) Completing all your RGL games will now give you 1 bonus point towards your overall RGL score used to determine ranks. Please note this is an RGL point, and not a TAL point.

Please Note: Walkover wins are not considered "completed games", unless it's a blanket walkover win due to severe inactivity by a particular user.


Older Rule Changes
* Going undefeated in any league will result in a bonus of 2 to your accumulated TAL Points.

* If you prearrange a time to play your opponent, and miss it, your opponent can claim the win by walkover. This only applies after missing a 2nd match. Also, failure to communicate with your opponent may result to you losing your matchup, as well as being disqualified from the League. Walkover results are scored 3-0 to the person who showed up.

* YOU MUST CLAIM A WIN BY WALKOVER IF YOU WISH IT TO COUNT! (And obviously provide proof)

* Points are NOT awarded to game that haven't been completed, however deliberately dodging your opponent OR by someone withdrawing for a single month will result in a win by walkover.

* My word is final. If there are any complaints, keep them out of this thread by contacting me directly, quoting the posts referenced.

Games must be completed BY May 31st. Any games scheduled on or after that date are acceptable IF setup via Private Message with an attached copy to myself, so I can plan ahead.

Please post battle reports in something resembling the following format:

I will take the win unless HK says I have to reset, I will not "replay" from the beggining because I think I have a huge advantage :). The second one we were in about 20 turns.

The first in third were probably 6-10 turns in.

The first game was pretty close.

The second game I think I had the advantage.

Thing is, the reason he kept DCing, was because he was downloading stuff (probably porn) and his internet has been going haywire lately.

We decided to play grey and for the most part it was pretty close, but all in all I deserved to lose as I made quite a few huge mistakes. I gave up my scout by leaving it in LW range for no particular reason, I gave him a sassy bomb on about turn 3. I managed to play quite well apart from that and force a draw at the end. Good game.

Eh, the set advantage wasn't that great.

But yeah, you played it pretty badly.

The game started with him having a line-rush against my free-turtle, same sided. My free-turtle had multiple LOS shots to stone and cleric open, so he managed to get the cleric fairly early. Still, I managed to get his mud and a scout for my cleric. From there, I managed to take his other scout + knight for my dragon. Then it was his 2 knights, dragon, frost, cleric against my Stone, 19HP knight, 18HP scout, 38HP frost, 17HP furgon, full HP LW. One of his two knights were frozen, and I eventually killed it. Meanwhile, he was killing my LW with his dragon.

I guarded the LW with my furgon when it was on 10 [the LW]. I offered a draw, but he wanted to play on. I froze his knight, and he had to bring up his frost to stop me from slowly killing the knight. I then killed his frost, with no more damage added to me. I froze his dragon when it was in my LW range, and blocked off the frost. He tried to hack through my units/shrubs [frost was on 10HP], but the dragon would die before he got there. *shrug* Good game.

We greyed and he took me apart, I really didn't start too smart and he took full advantage, well played.

We greyed and I played better than I did against Guide but still not great, whilst he was struggling with major lag. I ended up putting myself in what I thought was going to be a winning position, then he got a pyro side block which saved his pyro for a while and killed one of my knights. I then got 3 consecutive sides on his last knight, but he then got a 21% frontal hit on my sassy to kill it, if he hadn't hit that I would have won for sure. Then I played it stupid whilst I had BW advantage and he got a few blocks to make it look like it was easilly his game, however I got a 40% front hit on his sassy so we each had a 5hp Knight left. It would have been him to attack first but I had +blocking so we decided to draw. Good game, with insanely retarded luck for both sides.

I honestly think I played it as well as I could. had I blocked one of the two frontals it'd had been a lot closer. At that point I was unit up but HP down. That set her a unit up, and with all the HP I lacked I had no shot.

In regards to replacing Cows in League 2 with a newer player:
Had Cows asked to be removed in the Acivity thread, we wouldn't have had this problem. But with games already played, and matches already scheduled, there's not much other option.

It's not about him playing a game, it's about every "fair" option to jump to L2 has already played a game in their respective leagues, others have scheduled games with people, already begun talking about availability, etc.

Like I said, all it would have taken to prevent this is a post in the RGL May Signup/Activity Check thread. I will NEVER leapfrog someone to L1, however in circumstances such as this, no matter how much I hate it I don't really have much choice other than leaving an open spot all month. It's not about him playing a game, it's about every "fair" option to jump to L2 has already played a game in their respective leagues, others have scheduled games with people, already begun talking about availability, etc.

Like I said, all it would have taken to prevent this is a post in the RGL May Signup/Activity Check thread. At the end of the match i made a horrible missclick wich let him kill one of my knights without moving his dragon, he only had dragon and scout at 20 hps -18 or something and i had 2 knights at 16 and a full scout, without that missclick i think i could've spanked the full dragon with 1 knight and the scout since it takes 3 turns to recover and my units were pretty close to it, sh*t happens i guess :D

Comments: We played Dropless Grey. Took out his scout quickly, as I charged it with my knights. He was using center warded, and me wardless. His scout was toward the middle where my 3 knights were so I got it out quickly. I was able to pyro out his Witch and Pyro so he only had a knight offensive, so I quickly blitzed a knight and took out his Cleric and Chanty. It took a while after that... 3 knights (10, 33, 36) LW vs. Knight Assassin Cleric Chany (Full) But I got an A bomb on the 36 knight and then at the very end he had 11 Knight vs. 16 Knight Chanty Cleric so he killed my knight and I froze him to end it.

I flanked him pretty early, trading my wisp for his mud and damage on his DT. just tried to get in good position so i couldn't get frost-whored, and got his cleric in the process. He got similar knight pressure and took mine. We danced around with our knights for a bit, while I took his scout and further damaged his DT. I got consecutive scout side blocks from both scouts which allowed me to take his DT and lower his frost to 19hp. From there my luck got silly with a 50% knight side hit and another scouts ide block, but it hadn't really mattered. He definitely played well enough to win but got luckifried. sorry prof, gg man

Lol, thats true. I think the bigger problem is that people nowadays have no qualm with playing with one-dimensional sets. I'm not sure why so many people are cool with having their chance of winning be 50:50...but I certainly miss the days where people strived to have good all-around sets.

Hey hey, calm down. I used that exact set on your the last time we were in the same league. I figured to bust it out seeing I haven't used it on you since then and you wouldn't expect it.
I use all types of sets, but most of my sets balance in being unpredictable of what's going to come at you.
