This idea involves a huge serpent called a Basilisk. Basilisks use their venomous fangs to poison their prey. They appear from nowhere, borrowing out of the ground, attacking without warning.

HP: 42
Armor: 10
Blocking: 20% Front. 10% Side

Movement: 4 Squares, (Teleport, well, Burrow)
Range: 1 Square
Recovery: 3 Turns

Power: 16 Unblockable. Poisons target, taking off half of the original attack power each turn. For example, attacks Mud Golem, Takes off 16 first turn, next turn 8, next turn 4, next turn 2, next turn 1. End. If it infects a unit which has armor, 2HP is dealt to the Basilisk for biting through the armor. Basilisk can only attack one other unit ONLY, while the first target is being poisoned. It CANNOT poison 3 units or more at once.

Tell me what you think, I have a feeling that I will get lot of people saying Overpowered, as it takes off altogether 31 HP. But, if you think about the opponent healing, it really takes off 19HP.

Feedback welcome

but if you think about it, a Beast Riders 19, is only 7 by your reasoning.

True, so are you saying it's overpowered?

Yeah overpowered. And also does it ignore armor? The 16 works nicely, but if armor affected the initial damage then the poison would be complicated.. It does seem like a piece that could be worked with though, but I'm having trouble coming up with suggestions :/

Poison works like the wisp's. Except for the focus as it injects it. Bring HP down to... 36?

Well the balance for a piece that powerful is tricky. I'll assume the basilisk's damage ignores armor..

Movement = DT,
Recovery = DT,
Power > DT, ( > LW),
Attack Range < DT,

Survivability << DT

So I think there would be a couple important questions.

1. Would it be fair to count the DT as 1 piece instead of 2 if:
-It lost its ranged attack
-Lost a bunch of survivability
-Got a power bonus
?

2. Would it be too chaotic with a DT + Basilisk on the field? 28 (armor reduced) + 31 unreduced? That's an automatic scout kill even with a heal. It is a knight kill (52 damage) if there is no heal.

Hmm. Perhaps only to have either a DT or the Basilisk on field at same time?
It does ignore armor, but harms itself in the process. I don't think it should count for 2 units as the survivability is lower than the DT.

Question: Would it be fair to change the attack of the Basilisk to Focus? It bites and holds onto prey, injecting venom each turn.

and then we creat a Harry Potter unit to kill it !

Lol Yes.. That's exactly what we will do....
P.S. I have not seen Harry Potter

if it has a focus attack it would be extremely weak. It has to go next to some1 do to it..
They will just hit the basalisk as soon it poisoned them. (unless poiosn prevents this)
it has a long wait time low armor cant block. But you could barrier it i suppose.

But yeah it would be more balanced then now. otherwise there is no way the full damage can be stopped.

Make the bite do say, 5 damage, but the poison tick from and go 5 to 1. So you hit something for 10ish, then it ticks 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. So it does an over-all 15 damage and I think it'd be fairly balanced.
