Name:Blackhand Strangler
wearing black armor, he has massive arrms, his hands are covered in large black gloves

HP: 48
AR: 12
BL: 60%

MV: 4
RG: 1
RC: 2

PW: 21+ Strangle Focus
Special: Strangle: Deal 2 damage per round, cumulative, so 2,4,6,8,10,12,14, etc. This broken by attacking the Strangler, or the Target unit moving away.
The attack is blockable, so if target blocks, they do not become Strangled.

Special Attack: BlackHand : Next Attack is unblockable and has a range of 3, this only lasts 2 turns, so it has to be used on the only turn it can be used on. It deals no damage, but guarantees the Strangle.

between a knight a rider a frost and a wisp, but not really like any of them. Not exactly a spellcaster, but not a pure fighter either.

He swings at the target to try to do crush damage. If he hits, he grapples them, beginning the strangle. The damage is not spectacular right away, but after a couple of rounds is near-lethal.

By performing the special move, the Strangler uses his magic ability, the Blackhand technique.

This allows him a ghostly attack, at up to three tiles away, and is unblockable. It is not affected by LoS rules.

It allows him to Strangle from a distance. It is a bit tricky to setup, and while the Strangler is mobile, he is slow.
It is effective at breaking focus or striking from a guarded position.

I see him used as a frontline early, then retreating to behind knights in midgame. Alternately, he can be reserved dealing a few small hits here and there, allowing new kills combos, and acting as a heavy attacker in late game.

He is a brute, and most likely limited to one or two on field, if not counting as two units, or a knight. That is if its not horridly overpowered.

Very nice unit, unique with an awesome name.

It is like you said a terrific option 2nd turn dealing 23 damage to an opponents mage (if they have a frontline blitz.).. yet when all is said and done if the mage blocks your blackhand is vulnerable to attack for 2 turns ..sure he is beefy but he is very vulnerable...

I'm sure this unit would have a field day with mages,DT's, but would suffer at the hands of most mele characters.

Well thought out unit.....not sure about the HP though i don't have time today to crunch #'s but he seems a smiggen too beefy? no? yes? i dunno..

You'd have to combo it to deal with melee units, but it would own anything bulky. Cumulative damage effect is very dangerous. A very defensive unit, I like it.

It should not count as two units, it doesn't have that kind of survivability.

Also are u saying that at the end of the opponts turn he loses 2 hp or at the end of Your turn (or both) Also this attack on a Paralysed unit would mean Death for that paralyzed unit very quickly. and in my opinion far to quickly.
Can it kill a unit with strangle?
Is this a focus attack ? if not then i assume it cant go through barrier.
And if it is can it still block during this strangle ?
Overall though even i do think it is a good unit
That picture is Awesome. niamh
