So here is my reasoning for this -- I am at work and may want to slip in a quick game and have a few people sitting in the same room. I don't want them to hear the *clank* *lightening strike* *shrub summoning* that it is TAO.

At the same time, I have iTunes playing for everyone while we work on my laptop. Instead of shutting off the tunes for TAO, why not have a volume option for the game so I can have it as loud or soft (or off).

I dunno how to go about doing this, but I know you can somehow block a website from playing sound. Try messing around with Internet Options.

EDIT: I found something that might be helpful. If you're using Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced then uncheck play sounds in webpages. I think it applies to all webpages though :/

In Vista you can select the volume levelof each application separately.

You know that volume bubble in the right-hand corner of your taskbar? Right-click it. Mute whichever program you don't want to hear.

Do what Zander said. Thats what i do. I tell it to mute my Mozilla and i leave my iTunes on.

You right-click the little megaphone thing in the bottom right corner. This is for Vista though.
