View Full Version : Michael Jackson... dead at the age of 50?

endless

At least thats what TMZ is reporting:

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

I'm just shocked.. he really was the king of pop. R.I.P.

Medemia
06-25-2009, 06:46 PM
On a related note Sinyra, could you say his poor kids because he was their father in the first place an the chances that he did something to them is high since, if someone is going to do this to other kids, he'll probably do it to his kids too? Now I know there is no evidence to this and know it may not have happened, but would you be surprised if the Jackson kids came out later and said that daddy fooled around with them?
Kids have no choice in who their father is, but more importantly, kids are resilient and can recover from bad situations better than most adults can. Here's hoping they rebound right.

yes i could and do. I do not know the particulars in that case and if that is true, that is terrible. however, losing a father, regardless of how bad, is never easy. and since they didn't have a stable family in the first place, yes, i say poor kids. having sympathy for a loss does not mean i support or even like the person lost.

He was also insane because of the abuse he suffered as a kid. I've only ever felt pity for him, not anger. This is what fame does to people, it destroys them. I hope people can remember him for the good he did.

Even though I'm not religious, I like that one part of the lord's prayer, I think it is, about forgiving those who trespass against us. It makes you a happier person if you remember good things instead of bad.

The dude was nucking futs. He didn't deserve to die but I don't have much sympathy.

If you're religious, you can never tell when someone is supposed to die, it's God's decision and his only.

If you're not, you have our wonderful government to decide when someone is supposed to die. Or nature, or a lunatic with a snub-nose.

Either way, it's really no point in saying "He didn't deserve to die", as it isn't your place.

Another thing is people discussing whether they have sympathy for the person that passed. I seriously doubt he gives a shit, or can give a shit if you care. He's dead, I doubt he's looking for sympathy.

In case you're wondering my purpose of writing this, one of my pet peeves is when people do or say things that are just pointless, redundant, or incoherent. Expressing sympathy (or lack thereof) for a dead person is pointless, and it really isn't our place to say whether or not someone deserves to die.

On another note,

I realize that some people like to negate Michael's wrongdoings with the fact that he was abused as a child. This really only works in the mind of a delusional person, but I'll treat it as a valid argument. The reason why I don't accept it as an excuse is because the man was clearly sane enough to walk around freely in the world or else he would have been institutionalized. Therefore, he was deemed sane, and mature enough to make adult decisions and live on his own. With that said, the man clearly knew that putting thing's in the rectum of a child is NOT ok, and neither is serving alcoholic beverage to little boy's. I also would rather him dead than alive, and any other person who touches little children.

My 2 cents.

Being that Michael Jackson was 99% plastic, would he be melted down and made into legos so that little kids could play with HIM for change?

The comic strip is from the manga "Death Note". The protagonist (Kira) writes names in a book. The name of the person written in the book dies.

I'm pretty sure you can get it from there.

Now I know there is no evidence to this and know it may not have happened, but would you be surprised if the Jackson kids came out later and said that daddy fooled around with them?

Ah, the intellectual The Cheat comes back with a vengeance. You don't like what I say so you hope someone beats me up. I love how mature you are. Anyway, because the charges never stuck doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that a group of 12 starstruck jurors let another case of celebrity justice occur. Do we know without a doubt that he piddled little boys? No. The circumstantial evidence surrounding the accusations though make a pretty good case that anyone but the stalks of broccoli that were on his jury would have seen.
Even if he never touched anyone inappropriately, the fact that he put himself in those types of situations was incredibly stupid. The Jesus Juice, the spending the night in the same bed with those kids, the alarm systems -- if they weren't for what they were for, they were sure stupid to do because the mere accusation is enough to destroy most people, let less someone seen as eccentric as Jackson.

I hope someone comes and pats you on the head someday as a condolence for being the Cheat. Oh yeah, thanks for confirming my good day with your neg :)

You see i dont agree with the cheat hes a bitter kid who needs to grow up still.

But what gets me is taht you fucks have NO idea what you're talking about. We're you at the hearings? I mean seriously? QUIT TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASS.

You know, it must be fun making an ass out of yourself.

My former pastor was a pastor in Carpinteria, California. He was good friends with the prosecuting attorney. The character assassination that man went through is what is the shame. He did not have a personal vendetta against Michael Jackson. He had mountains of evidence. It was celebrity justice. So, through second hand information, yeah, I know some about the trial.

Of course, going after someone who is seen as a media darling and hero to many because of his musical ability and not the strength of character is going to stir up feelings of personal attack. Did I like his music? Yeah, it was fun. Did I like him as a human being? No. He was a sick individual, some through his own choice, some through the bummer of an upbringing he had where he was never allowed to be a kid and reverted back in unhealthy ways.

Martin Bashir is kind of a jerk. It is easy to manipulate the way a person presents themselves thanks to film editing. I read somewhere that there was a ton of footage that was not added in, including an accusing family member praising Michael Jackson for all he did for their son. I think FOX actually aired footage of the unedited interviews from a second camera that Michael had follow Bashir and him around with. Rather smart move on his part.

Michael Jackson was a VERY strange person, no doubt about it. I don't feel like he actually molested any children though, or the children's parents would want him in jail more than anything, and wouldn't settle out of court.

I feel he had a disturbed childhood, and it messed him up in the head a bit. He was a very naive man, and trusted people too much, which is what caused him to end up being accused of child molestation in the first place. He thought that he could open up his home to children and not be looked upon with suspicion. He thought that people wouldn't manipulate him to get his money. He just didn't seem like an awful person. He missed out on a childhood and experienced a lot of things that no 5 year old should have. I'm not saying he's a saint or role model, because the man obviously had some screws loose. But I don't think he was THAT twisted.

All the news channels won't shut up about how great he was, but years ago they wanted him hung. They wanted to watch him fall and crumble, and it disgusts me to see them now praising him so much. It's probably the pressure put on by the media that caused him to become addicted to drugs.

The man's a creative genius. His music videos were even revolutionary. There's no denying that. To the music industry and fans, he will be missed.

EDIT: Found his "rebuttal video" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvhwWDCV9Bo

Well, for starters, you're sixteeen. Micheal Jackson was definitely in his prime long before you're time.
I get it. It doesn't mean anything to you. Doesn't really mean anything to me, either, but I can at least understand that his death is kind of a big deal, because I remember when Micheal Jackson was literally the biggest star on the planet. No one else was even close.
This was when he was still a young, black, male human. Not an old, white, female alien.
You're sick and tired of it already? I've got new for ya, Lex. People are going to be talking about Micheal Jackson's death for a long time. He's the perfect combination of super huge, super rich, super weird, super controversial, super influencial celebrity who died mysteriously and unexpectedly. Ever hear of Elvis? Think people will ever stop talking about him?
Relax, buddy.

He will be convicted of man slaughter no doubt....I thought this from the very moment that they found some precription drugs at his place. I don't necessarily agree though....it takes two to take prescription drugs and one of them is dead.

Maybe take his doctor license away is all that should happen, but to put him in the slammer for this? His business will be ruined and his name is now tarninshed as being the doctor that helped the king of pop to his grave.

... there was nothing concrete in that article...

the suspicion and the presence of the drugs was enough to get a warrant.. but they haven't found anything that proves either way. i would hate to be that doctor. plus, what the eff would he gain by killing him? he losses a high profile and high paying client and tarnishes his name? no way. no motive.
