Terps doesn't actually want Josh dead, however he stated otherwise. Sarcastic or not, it's still a lie. Just as saying something in a joking manner can be a lie, so can sarcasm.

if you use it to lie, and the person doesn't know otherwise, then yes. If you can convey that what you're saying actually is sarcasm and should not be taken seriously, then no. If under oath, I recommend you not use sarcasm.

Being aware that you are being lied to does not make the lie true. It is a lie regardless of the circumstances, and lol at you trying to prove otherwise.

Conversation is about meaning. While the words in a sarcastic comment would seem to have one meaning, the fact that they are sarcastic gives them the opposite meaning.
