I'm a student. During the school year I work in an after school program (Elementary Ed). It's funded by the University and Title 9, as the school is "low income" (most of the kids come from poor homes).
This summer and the previous one I've been working at a bike shop. It wasn't my first choice of shops to work in, but it's full time, and even at min. wage I can't complain in this economy.
I work at TAO Corp.

I work at a small family owned grocery store. Most days I bag groceries and stock isles along with whatever other little job they give me, or I work back in the deli.
The job sucks and the owner and his dad are complete tools, but the other employees are cool.
In the fall I'll be going to UC for pre-pharmacy.

College Town. Late nights.
We always were open until at least 3am.After the bars closed at 2, things always got interesting. When i was the Night Manager at BK, we'd call the cops a few times a week. We had 2 security guards in the dining room, but things always got out of hand.
I was working a bagel/dog cart once. It was late, and I got a rush of customers. Bunch of people ordered Brats.
Well, one guy got pissed because he thinks I skipped him. Starts ranting and raving,I hollered back....
Well, when I get REALLY pissed,I get really quiet. Finally,I say, perfectly calmly, "Listen.Either leave,or we'll make you leave."
His response is "Oh yeah, youand what army?"
Now,right as he said this,I saw something out of the corner of my eye. So I point, and say "Them". Right as apolice cruiser skids into the spot next tome, and two cops hop out.
WORLDS BEST TIMING
I finished off some customers, cops talked to the guy. I gave hima brat. All was fine.
But,man.The timing was everything.

Across the street from where I work this guy, and what I can only assume was his side piece, get into an argument. Next thing I know she starts kicking dents in his door. He punches the $#!7 out of her then gets in his car and drives off with her following. I guess the place across the street called the cops because they came and questioned us. He ended his ''investigation'' by saying, "I woulda knocked her ass out too if she was kicking my car."

Even getting more hands off on your own business, it's nearly impossible to completely retire. You still put hours in, and maintain the management, just not nearly as much. You do however worry/stress more because you know you're not handling it, and if someone screw something up it's your money.

Fixed. "Once you go black, you'll never go back."
"Is that from personal experience?"
"burn on bdog"
I've "gone black" (I was kidding anyways), and because it was apparently from my personal experience of going black, it's a burn? You're saying it's a burn to "go black." Sounds a little racist to me.

not really, the burn was on the fact he called you on a homo erotic joke you made.
bdog1321

It wasn't homo-erotic. I meant black women.

I don't make gay jokes. Honestly can't remember the last time I did. Undoubtedly Kyir will go through all of my posts and find one from 2007.
EDIT: Listen to yourself. If I had meant it in the way you're saying I did, I wouldn't even have said it. The conversation was about hot girls. Plus I wouldn't be trying to get out of it if I had meant it that way. There'd be no reason as it was only a joke.
Oh, and women is plural. I think you meant woman. Apparently elementary school didn't have the desired effect on everyone.

If you want to know, why not PM me. This isn't the place.
Lludmilla must be very high maintenance. ;)
I'm a waitress in a pub right now, and probably will continue to be a waitress for the next couple of years until I finish my associates in nursing. Then I'll be a nurse part time while finishing up my classes to become a nurse anesthetist.
At least, that's the plan...

That definitely took me a few minutes of mental debating to decide which sex that person is.
I came to the conclusion of "it."

Working at a quiznos I do get my fair share of the asshole, the jerk, the crazy vegitarian, the change your gloves guy. I could go on. But in all honesty, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I've worked there for 2 years and I can safely say even with the pay low, it has been the best job so far. When you first start working in food your nervous, scared, and afraid while these random customers judge you. You soon come to realize that you do not need to be afraid of them, but more them be afraid of you. I am techniclly in charge of what goes on behind this counter not the customer.
You definatley earn a level of respect for those who work in food after working at a such job. And often I tip at most places. People don't be a Mr.Pink. Unless of course they screw up. You all must remember even though we get paid everyone makes mistakes.
