View Full Version : Imageshack Being a Douche

As I'm sure many of you have notice, Imageshack (or some other douches who may have hacked imageshack) decided to be a douche and replace all images they hosted (not all of them, looks like just images that are of a certain age) with propaganda and other bullcrap:

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4513/erase7.jpg

Anyone who has ever hosted a signature on imageshack.us and has terrible luck with imageshack deciding to stick a fork in your signature now has a massive blob of text instead, that is lagging the forums for a lot of people.

If you lose some of your images, I deeply apologise, but I need to ask people to remove their imageshack url banners/signatures if your image has been replaced with the garbage. I'm also pretty sure they'll continue to be replacing images from further and further back (considering they're talking about "owning" [I]everyone and everying[/I--oh no, what a terrible inconvenience! You're such a rebel inconveniencing all of us!), so if your banner turns into text BS, you'll have to delete it as well when the time comes. Blues will be actively working on this as well (we will only get rid of the imageshack).

My advice (to anyone using imageshack, not just those who have already been hijacked) is to make a photobucket account and keep all your images in an online folder.

Sorry imageshack (or some hacker noob) is a douche.

Nope. So far, from the limited amount I've looked, Uniq, Big Zeus, Sniper Master, AU, Faulty Logic have been targeted. I'm sure many, many more.

They're promoting something called an "anti-sec movement" which is something usually encouraged by hackers and the like.

It's definitely hackers.

It was hackers. They simply redirected all images on Imageshack.us to their image file instead.

Problem is already resolved. Be warned, they have said they are going after all other image hosters as well.
