All game servers will be unavailable starting at 12AM PST, Monday August 17 2009 and should be back up Monday evening. The TAO website and forums will still be available during this period. The outage will allow us to upgrade the TAO game servers.

Upgrading servers doesn't sound like new units. Upgrading servers sounds like making it faster; maybe eliminating those lag spikes.

Doesnt this game get boring to you guys? We never get new units and everyone cares about stats waaaaaay to much. I know we arent going to get new units but if we ever were to maybe id come back for a little while

How could you know we don't have any new units, and that we care about stats too much if you don't play? Actually.......

Note the amount of time it has taken between the beginning, the last upgrade and this upgrade.

uVault physically upgrades their servers every 3ish years. This means swapping out the actual server the game is hosted on for a new unit. Not something Bills can control. At best he can ask for them to delay the replacement, but that would risk failure of the server.

I hope that they just fix the server. Ive been lagging and d/cing a lot lately. I actually PAY for this frustration. I dont care if there is a new unit or not. It really doesnt sound like it. Didnt they announce the Berserker and the Furgons special BEFORE they did it?

Happened to me to. I could log into army but it said server unavailable in gl. I restarted my computer and i could get into both after that, but then server unavailable in banff. Why was the bot deleted? :eek:

DNS might still be resolving for some people. If you get a "Server Unavailable" message, try again in a couple of hours and DNS should have resolved by then.
