After reaching 1million supporters, it is being released for everyone. I am going to watch this very soon and was wondering if anyone has watched it yet?

Did you really find it scary? Scariest movie ever? No spoilers pl0x

Almost everyone I have talked to has said its VERY good, although watching the trailers just makes me wonder why. I am excited! (Btw Zombieland was hilarious!)

So is Paranormal Activity. I watched the trailer and looked up the low-brow sites where those reviews came from and found the whole thing hilariously cheesy. I refuse to pay $10 to see that trash.
This is not the next cult hit, so people need to stop treating it that way.

You haven't even watched the movie....WTH? Obviously it is a low budget movie and the first thing that comes in mind is , lame. BUT obviously there must be a reason why they managed to get 1 million supporters in around 2 weeks? (Coming from a $10,000 budge movie) And widely good reviews from major movie critics and not "low brow sites"

Why call it trash if you haven't even watched it yet :sigh:

You can't look me in the eyes and tell me you haven't done the same thing when you saw a trailer for High School Musical 3 or other such garbage.
Plus, I've seen this style movie before. It's so fake-looking that I couldn't watch it. I want to actually be scared or wowed, not sit there and sigh while other people get freaked out by parlor tricks.

Erm you obviously haven't read the reviews, there is obviously a reason why this is successful, and being called lot better than the traditional horror flicks

Entertainment Weekly rated it A- which is lot..

High School Music is a different genre of "musical" so I kind of see your point there

Don't believe the hype.

This IMO could have been a (NEW AND NOVEL and cheap) way to generate buzz for the movie( a movie that wasn't picked up by a major distruibutior), over the internet get 1 million siggies and your garunteed to have at least 200,000 shmioes think it's going to be a "groundbreaking film."

If it's going to be all shaky cam bullcrap (aka cloverfield,Blair witch) i'm not in.

Its funny, I am realizing that most of the people who posted here probably haven't heard much about the movie, or have friends who watched it...and all a sudden they come in saying "Jst kuz its rated high dun mean nuthing" I was hoping to get opinions from people who have actually watched the movie /face

I'm probably going to see it this weekend. I've read good things about it, and I like horror movies.
If a movie is reviewed poorly, that doesn't mean I won't see it. So I have no idea why anyone would refuse to see a movie because of good reviews. I also don't know how comparisons to Blair Witch or Cloverfield is a bad thing. I thought they were both original and intense, especially with all the big-budget bull**** films that get pumped out year after year.

I like that this movie only took $11,000 to make, and it looks like a believable kind of horror movie. Not that Saw bullcrap. I'm seeing it tomorrow night, so I'll let you know how creeped out I get!

It was alright. I'm very easily scared by things that jump out at me, so this movie had a lot of those moments.

Basically it played on fears of the dark and what happens while you're sleeping, and a lot of things that you assumed you were safe from "baddies" by doing were shown to be pointless. That's what got to me.

It was creepy. But if I watched it again, it wouldn't scare me. It was OK.

So I think it was a little scarier for me than my friends, because I had absolutely no idea if it was real or not...

Scared the shit out of me though... One of the scariest movies I've ever seen...

Wasn't really expecting it at all. When I saw the movie the theater was completely full, and I don't think I've ever been to a movie where everyone was basically so all in it together (and I've been to plenty of scary movies)... Seriously... It seemed like everyone in the the theater was freakin out...

Saw it tonight. I thought it delivered big time. Good acting. Really freaky. I was glued to it. I can't believe it was made on an $11,000 budget. Definitely worth the price of admission.
