Thanks so much to serg and Magician for their hard work testing, coding and taking in input to create such a great page for TAO and its community. Because of them, this brand new TAO addition turned from possibility to reality.
NOTE: Anything in light blue is a link! (http://www.frenchfriends.info/files/funny_soccer.jpg)

Introducing: TAO Tournament Central (http://www.tacticsarena.com/tournaments/)!

How to Get Started:
(1) All tournaments are played on the Revelations server. Because of this, you will need to activate a gold account with the TAO site in order to play. More information about upgrading to gold can be found when you click here (http://www.tacticsarena.com/gold/upgrade.php).

(2) The Tournament Central is linked to the TAO Forums in the TAO Tournaments Forum Section (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=28). If you do not have a forum account yet, the very first step is to get one! By registering a forum account here, you are eligible to enter into any website administered tournament in the Tactics Arena League (TAL). The TAL allows you to compete for prizes and status among your peers with giant 100+ person tournaments. All tournaments require a forum account in order to be rewarded. More info about TAL is right here (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39404)!

(3) Once you have a forum account and gold account, you will be allowed to enter into monthly leagues (RGL: Revelations Grand League), giant 100+ person tournaments like the Grand Series or Pro-Sports-Style Tournament held annually, one day tournaments on Revelations called ODT's, and more. All of these will be listed in the Tournament Central when sign-ups for them begin. A detailed schedule of the tournaments about to start can be found here (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1733459&postcount=2). You can even submit your own tournament ideas by sending a private message with your original idea to the Tournament Moderators (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showgroups.php), and right before your eyes hundreds of players could be signing up for your own creation!

(4) With the TAO Tournament Central, participating is easy! The moderators in charge of the tournament will simply link your forum account to to whichever tournament you sign up for in the TAO Tournaments Forum Section. For leagues, as you progress through the league, the Tournament Central will allow you to record your own matches as wins, losses or draws, and allows you to upload a screenshot right to the server (no more third party uploading sites!!). For information on creating screenshots, please click here (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showpost.php?p=473431&postcount=3). Note: whatever you record will be sent to your opponent for confirmation. You will be able to track your own progress, as well as the progress of all of your opponents, with visuals and graphs of everyone's bracket.
For bracket-style tournaments, you will still need to post your wins in a designated thread, but all brackets and recorded games will now be done through the TAO Tournaments Central site.

(5) With the release of the new TAO Tournament Central, additions and reinforcements of the Tactics Arena League Rules (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1733466&postcount=5) will be implemented. Any disputed game without screenshot evidence will require a decision panel of the Tournament Moderators that could result in both players being disqualified, loss of TAL Prize points or more. It is absolutely necessary, more than ever before, to record your games with screenshot evidence and upload them to the Tournament Central when recording your match. If you are having trouble with screenshots, please contact a Tournament Moderator.
Also with the addition of the Tournament Central comes stricter stipulations for sportsmanship and behavior. With the new separate webpage for everything tournaments, any users banned from TAL will be disallowed the access of this webpage. There will be an absolute zero tolerance for tournament fraud, including: arranging matches with yourself, using multiple accounts, accessing someone else's account, or producing fraudulent screenshots. As usual, a TAL ban is reinforced by the Tactics Arena Terms of Service (http://www.tacticsarena.com/info/tos.php). If you are unsure if your actions are permitted, please read the terms of service or contact a Super Moderator (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showgroups.php).

We hope this new addition of the TAO Tournament Central will be both fun and productive for all of our users, and to ensure that happens everyone needs to cooperate and work together. With your help, the Tournament Central may be the biggest addition to Tactics Arena Online to date!

But what are you still reading this for? Go out there and kick some tournament butt!

Can you clear these up for me meaty?
I can still record my matchs including tourny matches, but no third party sites? Like I can't record and upload from youtube and post the link here? When I post a record or whatever, its gonna be pmed or whatever to my opponent for confirmation?

What he means is that you now can enter game results directly to the table without posting them in a thread, your opponent can also confirm them directly there. If you wish you can attach screenshot of your game result as a proof but it is not required. Three is no PM notifications for opponents, unconfirmed results are marked with special icons.

So it basically runs by the players themselves without mods entering all the data manually. Mods are getting involved only if there are some disagreements. Hopefully it will lower the amount of routine work for mods and increase number of tournaments.

Are we all ready able to enter games?

If so, how do you log in. It's telling me i'm a guest and to log onto forums, even though i am all ready logged on.

you should be logged into the Tournament Central automatically if you have ticked the box that says "Remember me" when you log in. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure how you'd go about entering data.

You shouldn't have to click "Remember Me" in order to post a tournament game. As long as you're logged onto the forums it should work.
