Why do some golds only play newbies?

Ok... I play my fair share of 750 ranked newbies... and brand new idiots...

but only because they jump games I'm trying to set up with more advanced players. I will accept a challenge from a newbie, if they really want to try me.

But there are some golds on GL who ONLY play newbies and greys... they outright REFUSE to battle me because I'm gold! Take for instance this one fellow dragonslayer69... I've challenged him many times throughout the last few days and he keeps telling me he won't play me or he doesnt have time.

And I've been checking on him... he keeps playing peopel who are at or below 750 pts...
