Creeping Horror
Power: ------- 10
Range: ------- 1
Area of Effect: 1

Hit Points: ---- 30
Armor: ------- 0
Block: -------- 50

Move: -------- 4
Recovery: ---- 2

Action:
Engulf Attack

Concentration: (Click and Hold)
None

Engulf Attack: This attack is a 2 part-attack.

Part 1 - An Unblockable Power 10 Attack.

Part 2 - A Blockable Engulf Effect.

Both Parts happen simultaneously on an attack.

The Engulf Effect will be determined by whether:

Case A) The Horror moves into the Engulfed units space on a successful Engulf.
Result - Horror gains the Armor of its Victim, the Victim can move but cannot act, both units are affected by any action on that space, and the movement of both units is cut in half. Also, to simulate the victims struggles, both players can move the unit. Separate Recoveries are tracked for both units.

Case B) The Horror retains it's space but sends tendrils into the Engulfed Units Space. The victim is paralyzed.

In either case, the Horror cannot attack any other units but can move. In fact, the Horror's action while it has the engulfed unit is to free the unit.

Every turn that the Victim is Engulfed, the Victim takes 5 Power Unblockable and the Horror gains 3 Hit Points.

Appearance: Amorphous blob that is the player's color.

Can you explain the attack pattern a bit better, what I see now is an area affect of 1, so I suppose that's the attack pattern. But what's the maximum targeting distance? (I'm assuming 1 tile away is the maximum, but I'm not sure).

I'm not feeling too safe about the movement speed though. Aside from allowing the Creeping Horror to penetrate the front lines as assassins/scouts do, it also assures a back hit on any unit one tile away (including units that attack it), ensuring the chance of an engulf.

Point 1: That's what Range means. How far it can hit. So the Horror has to be next to its victim.

Point 2: Sorry, I forgot to mention that the victim can be released by hitting the square the Horror is in. As for the movement, yes you could go and engulf a unit first turn but that would be as effective as sending an Enchantress into the enemy's lines first turn.

When the Engulfed unit is hit with the 5 Power Unblockable, the unit should scream, "Aaaahhh!!! It burns!!! It burns!!!":D

Does anybody like this unit?
