Oh of course. I most certainly agree with you. But I have grown custom to Windows. As much as I hate it, I do know, for the most part, how it works. Well, in the sense when something goes wrong I can generally fix the problem.

Being an Anti-Apple person, I thought OS X sucked. But 10.3 is actually the most stable platform I have seen.

The amazing thing is the simplicity of installing and uninstalling programs. Since they program is not spread into dozens of places when installed, they run better in OS x that in WinXP.
The multitasking capabilities in 10.3 are also impressive to the extreme.
The orginal OS x's sucked badly, but they fixes are impressive.

You may be right. Since the version I was "testing" for my presentation looked something out of 1980 and I couldn't even open any files....all I could do was look and....that's it LoL

Shift + Cmd + 3

Try Shift + Cmd + 4 to get a crosshair icon. You can drag this icon around any part of the screen you want to take a screenshot of. It's pretty neat.

Also, Windowblinds is pretty awesome. I actually bought it, but then discovered the beauty of Windows Classic. You can adjust all those things like the size of the caption buttons, the background color of the window, and the menu title bar color and/or gradient. I'll post a screenshot of my PC when I get back to Blacksburg.

I haven't had many problems with OSX either... Once I had to do an OS re-install, something to do with network permissions that wouldn't resolve, thus, hanging up the machine...

It's not clean, it's efficent.

All of my shortcuts are categorized in the toolbars contained in the taskbar.

Any folders that I need quick reference to are located on the desktop, as well as any other temporary files that I will need quick and repetitive access to as well.

Notice, recycle bin on desktop, thats all. Folder "d" my seperate drive has all my stuff. Random stuff(Stuff that you put on the desktop), Paid Work, and an archive of downloads. My quick launch menu has all my programs on it, never have to use the start menu. End of story, clean, efficient.

Recently, I've been interested in applying different skins, themes, wallpapers, etc. to my computer, as well as seeing what other people are doing with their computer, and keeping on their desktop, which is my reason for brining this back.

I've spent a ton of time working on mine, trying to find something I liked and I could work with. I've applied around 20 somethings skins total until I found the one I have now, which I am pretty happy with. It's not entirely complete, but complete enough for me.

Yeah, shatterstar hit it right on the nose. I get mine from www.wincustomize.com . You can find pretty much whatever you need there. I don't remember exactly if it was a widget I used of a DesktopX object, though. Their search function isn't exactly the best either, since you have to search for what the creator has the item listed as, not what type of item it is.

But if you want to have one like that, you need to download this program (http://www.download.com/DesktopX/3000-2340_4-10422614.html?tag=stardock) (Find more info about it here (http://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/) ), find whichever widget/object you plan to use, download that, then you should be good.

I can't explain exactly what to do too well since I was doing most of this in the early morning, but it ended up being pretty self-explanatory in the end. Let me know if you need help getting some to work and I'll try my best to help.

Currently I use two computers... work computer and home. Work looks like this:

I had to back it up so I could install gentoo on it to dual boot... which worked great for a while but then I broke gentoo... planning on fixing that at some point (still), but for now it's kind of in OS X mode for a good long while.

I just bought a computer though... should be in my hands by the end of the week. Yay. Then I'll spiff it up and post a desktop screenshot.

The only thing I am confused about is how to get the e-mail checker to work...
When it asks for the server, I don't know exactly what to put.

The server thing is for imap, pop3 or smtp mail accounts. I'm pretty sure hotmail doesn't support this. But for most places it's something like pop3.mymailhost.com.
