This jerk has been annoying people for days... and he is a gold account, so I dont necessarily think he should be banned...
But he startes taking full turns as soon as it looks like he is going to lose.
He has recently taking to jumping all my games, and then we have a 45 minute battle of him just annoying the hell out of me. He is only doing this to get me to quit so he can steal my rating.
This is a form of harrassment... I atleast want the option of refusing to battle him!

Little known fact.
If you quit the game before the words 'xxx has been randomly chosen to make the first move', the game will not count towards stats.
I know it's sometimes impossible to pull off, because it happens so quickly, but it might help. ^_^

The ammount of time the timer is set on is based on how many units a player has on the field. So two players can be fighting, and both have different times to move. I hope this is helpful.
I do think the time in which you're entering should be lengthened. That way you would be able to decline battles. I'm sure then more people would be willing to put down on the floor first, and those pesky jumpers won't be a problem.

BTW- Is PredatorEyez still in Strategic Insomniacs?

Yes Rogue, He's still in SI and still giving you guys a bad name.
I see Vinny agrees with Rescorlian's and Ach's reason for temporary resignation.

Well like what Rogue said before, the timer is scaled depending on how many units are left on the field. So take out most of his units and his turn will only be like 20 seconds ^^

I played him yesterday, beat him (with my grey account without any drops) twice, only losing one and two units respectively. Not only is he annoying, he is also weak.
All I can say is, if you want to truly understand the power of SI, come to Banff and play any of our 14 members in the top 27 in the rankings (ha ha netjak):D

The rankings don't lie, my friend. And we must have another match sometime, I didn't get the points for beating you because of those damn discons when Banff goes down:(

Man you know something has to be wrong with a guy when Sir Vilhelm doesn't like em. I mean a Gold slowing him down from increasing his ranking and his n00b jumping. This guy has got to be stopped... :P
All fun aside this is the second complaint and MikeIsGod will have to speak with him.

Alright, but no need to laugh at us about it. Remember, he who laughs last...

There are a ton of simple solutions which could be implemented to prevent this kind of harassment.
Here's a simple example:
(1) Give each player a clock of 15:00 at the start of the game.
(2) While it's your turn, your clock counts down as normal. If you complete your turn within 30 seconds, you receive a "refund" of +10 seconds to your clock.
(3) If your clock reaches 0:00 you immedilately forfeit.
This way, palyers can "build up time" on moves which are quick/obvious, and still have plenty of "thinking time" for the more important or difficult decisions.
At the same time, players who want to "run the clock out" will put themselves in the position of having very little time left to make good decisions toward the end of the game.
This is just an example, any number of variations on this or other timing adjustments are possible. It shouldn't be hard at all to come up with a solution to this problem. Same with the "delayed draw" problem. Both are easily solved (and ought to be).
