View Full Version : Battle of the Titans!

Quietly in the deepest dungeons of Armageddon, away from everyone's eyes two beings of immense strength clashed swords. This battle has been anticipated by all since last December – that battle of the titans ( See here one of the funiest threads ever (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1171&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) ) and it been materialised without us knowing.
World orders were being determined right under the unsuspecting eyes of the Armageddon players. Sensing a battle of cosmic dimentions, I was made aware of the battle.
Who was the victor? We might never know, but the 1 thing we do know is that the result will affect us all.

There's another thread in which our friendly neighbourhood Dark Lord says that Resc got a discon, but that he thought Resc was being too modest when he said the Dark Lord was winning.
Note that the avatar of choice for any good player is the Blue Knight...... not that I'm biased at all......

I still remember back in the early days when TAO was fresh and untainted when Wurtil was a name known by all by one simple stunt: He took over Great Lakes by battling with only a cleric. And I have noticed that blue seems to be a popular choice.....interesting......very interesting..............

I was reading the TAO Fan Site and I went to the Rumor Mill, and it said that a new clan feature was coming up. It would let you watch your clan members while they were fighting. Ofcourse, this is more than likely false, but it doesn't hurt to hope.

was this recently Snarry? its rare to see Wurtil on GL, nevermind Army, actually... Wurtil is like, never on... anyways...
this really brings me back... the original fued that made tao, TAO!!
we really need a new Wurtil type warrior and a relentless nemesis like in the olden days... that would really kick start TAO again...

What do you mean by Wurtil type warrior?? That's kinda vauge man.....and I have been thinking of adding "and so said the Dancing Banana" to the end of my posts, kinda like Wurtil's Friendly Neighborhood Dark Lord thing he does.
And so said the Dancing Banana

It was yesterday!
They chose Armageddon because I'm the only 1 from that server that reads the forums, when I acknowledged their presence they all went "who's Wurtil, who's Rescorlian?" And I was shocked and and told them "you infidels! their forces are beyond your understanding!"
The simple armageddoners had no clue what cosmic clash happened right be beneath eyes.
Thats probably why they come to armageddon for the anonimity, sometimes even Dark Lords need quiet - I may be wrong however.

What i meen by the Wurtil type warrior is one with incredible skill on the battle field and equally impressive verbal strength... although Northwind has pretty impressive speech at times, I have heard he BLOWS at fighting... one with both aspects of power are hard to find, thus, i give them the title "wurtil type warrior"... does that clear it up?
p.s. I think you should do the banana thing at the end, it seems to strike fear into the hearts of people with ease similar to that of Wurtils famous quote :D

*a sharp crack of thunder as the Dark Lord Wurtil appears before all*
There is only one obvious answer to that question. With the Dark Arts aiding the all-powerful Wurtil, victory was assured through a timely disconnect on Rescorlian's side. At the time of the incident, the Dark Lord was beginning to gain a slight edge in what was a very very even match. However, the battle could just as easily fallen the other way, as Rescorlian is known for his cunning retaliatory strikes. The only true way a victor will be known is for all to wait and ponder upon the upcoming tournament. To sum it all up, +4 points for Wurtil (with no bonus points), -1 point for Rescorlian. Bow before the slaughter that has been ignited by the Ruler of the Darkness!
Your friendly neighborhood Dark Lord,
Wurtil

(Falls down in worship of Wurtil)
I think we need someone who can speak like Shakespearien English, you know, "Thou art naught but a knave, roiling in the dirt of humanity."
And so said the Dancing Banana

To thou weakilngs I adress thee!! :D
My battl with Wurtil was going well. Until hist dark power regained it's full power (after not being used for a while) and disconncted my internet. I accidently forgot to add a 10th unit (barrier ward) after removing two to make room. Wurtil did indeed have an advantage, but my plan was taking fold for ultimate destruction. Take heed, for when the tourny begins and we the two great powers of TAO clash, all servers will feel the affects, and all will know who the victor was.
EDIT- I shall never reveal the awsome setup that the dark one uses.

I have heard of the dark lord's all-mighty setup before. I am just curious why no one copy his setup. Hopefully I will have a chance to have a look. ;)

Go ahead and cheer for wurtil, it will help him not, for last time I underestimated wurtils power, I shall not do it again!! Next time when our swords clash, the result will be very different!!

Omega, you need a line between the end of you post and the *And so said the Dancing Banana*. It looks like it is following on from the post at the moment.
