This isn't something especially unique and being very close to a knight with a few special abilities. I struggled coming up with a flaw in the character in fear that it woulkd just be a charged up version of a knight. If anyone has any ideas on giving the character a small disadvantage it would be helpful.

"The black dragons knew they could not defeat the land and the sky, so they worked hard to spawn soliders that could control the land. These soliders were known as Dragon Knights. The body of a Knight, the heart of a Dragon."

Hit Points : 55 Movement Range : 3
Power : 22 Recovery Time : 1
Armor : 30%

Attack Pattern :
Slashes a single unit on an adjacent tile with his sword.

Special Abilities :
+ 80% Blocking from the front (40% from the sides 5% from the back)
After being killed does not 'die' but turns to stone, making passage over the square impossible.

Tactics:
Same tactics as a normal knight however has an advantage in blocking as killing the unit does not mean the square can be passed over.


I was thinking that when the character turns to stone it might get new stats so it is possible to kill but i'm not sure anyone would bother. Stats might be:

Hit Points : 15 Movement Range : --
Power : -- Recovery Time : --
Armor : 50%

Because it is stone i was thinking maybe it should have 100% blocking from all sides but then it would take a while to get rid of. And if anyone does try to get rid of it that kinda would waste a lot of time.

My idea with this unit was not to make a original idea with special abilities that would be hard to understand but rather a unit that is realistic and would be similar in idea to the dragonspeaker mage - pyro upgrade.

Hmmm in thinking about the dragonspeaker - pryo thing it's possible the knight only gets the +5 hp and +5% armour and the turning to stone trick when the dragon is alive...

THat basicly makes teh dragon usless for most of the game.

basically just a knight with more hp, more armor, blocking from the back and the ability to get in everyones way once it dies. knights are strong enough, dont make them more powerful. and BACK blocking??? people are complaining enough just because a witch can block at all, this is crazy o_O

Good job reading the stickies, what with the blocking and whatnot.

But yea, its just a knight with more of everything.

If you want to make a unit that turns to stone on command or after it dies blocking a square, that is a great idea. If you want to make a knight that does that, bad idea.

I knew that increasing a knights stats isn't the best idea cause they are already have plenty of power thats why i didn't give it more power but more armour and HP.

Still in doing this it's just giving it a little to much advantage so thats why i wanted to come up with a weakness i could give it...
