I didn't see anything like this, so if it exists...forgive me.

Gate Ward (Maybe Fence Ward)

HP: 40
Blocking: 100% from all sides (0% when focused)
Movement: Contraption (none)
Armor: None
Recovery: 2 turns (maybe 3 if 2 seems short)

Attack Pattern: The Gate Ward extends an iron gate in a straight line 2 squares in opposite directions, covering a total of 5 squares in a straight line with the ward in the center square. The gate is indestructable and inpassable. However, the gate itself does not affect LOS. (The ward piece, as a unit, affects LOS normally). If the ward, (the center square) is struck, it loses focus and retracts the gate. If a unit is blocking the gate, the gate extends only as far as it can, then stops.


Why? Interesting unit to add strategy. A terrific, balanced way to slow down any sort of rush without having to try and destroy the unit. The fact that the gate can be unfocused means it won't simply ruin the board movement, but the quick recovery time asures it can be used effectively.

It's so easy to hit the ward it's kind of useless. A furgon's bushes are more effective.
