HP: 50
Armor: 8
Power: 27
Movement: 4
Recovery: 2
Blocking: 0% (0%)

Special: Takes two times all armor penalties on it's attacks.
Also, this unit has a 30% (15%) blocking against other Shadowboxers.

Strategy: Very powerful against magic-users, as it can take most out in 2 turns regardless of cleric healing. Due to it's weekness against high-armored units (and lack of armor itself) this unit is not something to face down a knight with.

Alright, what does everyone think?

The extra blocking against other Shadowboxers is because you can block a punch with your fist, but blocking a sword with your fist is kind of... yeah.
And yes, I did steal the name from the Tactics Core demo.

P.S. Yes, this is my first unit :P

look at the fact that it takes x2 armor pnealties, and the 0 blocking, it's not as strong as the dragon.
Anyway, I could tone down the hp i bit I guess if it's too strong, what does everyone else think?

Um...yeah, uh...okay, hmmm.... Oh, it's confusing as to how a punch is more powerful than a sword, I mean I could take a round in the ring before I could take getting hacked at by a friggin sword, but yeah bring down the HP to abour 50, and the aromor to 8, and it would be good.

Alright, I'll edit that.

The Shadowboxer is supposed to be very strong, hence the high attack, (think DBZ muscles lol) but since it IS a punch, it takes the x2 armor penalties.

Sort of an anti mage-bomb unit.

Sort of an anti mage-bomb unit.

We have one of those. It's called a Lightning ward and it gets used alot as is.

Please don't bring this up again. This units weakness (and a large one at that) is knights, just cover your mage bomb with some knights and there's no problem. Adaptation, just like scouts and furgons.

Gimme suggestions, not critisizms on what this unit can be used for.

I wasn't bringing anything up. You said it was used for mage-bombs and that's what the LW is supposed to be for right? That's all I was saying.

The point of my post was to say, "If the biggest reason for this unit is to counter mage-bombs, then it's not needed." If that wasn't the purpose, then nevermind.

I like the "varying effects based on armor" idea, though. Could get tricky, and I've heard alot of people say the game has too much math as is. Not saying I agree with that, but I've heard that as a reason to say "no" to ideas before.

Maybe this unit could have something like a reverse unblockable. Give him a high power, but any armor completely negates it...
