I would like to suggest there be a way for Gold Account members to change their passwords. There have been way too much "hacking" of late that I think has come from the fact that passwords that were created to be easy to remember when poeople first joined have been figured out, and their accounts trashed.

I agree with you, I haved heard it has happened to many people.
Maybe something like a secret question + answer setup they normally have with accounts from email companies ect.
If you forget or want to change your password, you then enter the answer to the secret question which you set at the setup the of your account.
You might even want to go to the extreme and have assigned passwords/codes for accounts, although I dont know if everybody would agree with that.

yes i agree us golds need atleast proper security if we cant atleast get new units and such like that*something new to the game*

repeat...nobody has been hacked *puts it in blaring flashing lights*....every single time, its been confirmed by DR or another Mod/TAO rep that it is a case of idiocy or foolishness...not hacking


the only cases of ppl having others acccess their accounts hav been when they had STUPIDLY easy passwords. Yes, stupidly, as in apparently a large number of ppl are unware of what a proper password is supposed to be (i.e. something nobody else can guess). Yes...ppl SAY they hav been hacked...but nobody has actually been so.

There is perfectly adequate security for the gold accounts...they're called passwords. Its not poor security if you are unware of how to make a proper password.

I DO think that having the ability to change ur password is a good one. I like to cycle through several different password varieties and i can't do that in TAO.
